Very loud, couldn’t even hear the waitress speak to us, needs something lower than the ceiling, like hanging shutters etc to dampen the racket! Service variable, I gave up trying to flag down a server to order more drinks, we drank our first one whilst waiting for our food, I went to the bar, barmaid then related our order to our waitress, ugh. Disappointing having a £4 service charge added to the bill! It was automatically added, no choice to remove it! I couldn’t even tell the waitress as she would have struggled to hear me. Drinks were ok, but 50% crushed ice, the paper straws can’t handle it and become too soggy to drink through half way through the cocktail. We had to flag down our waitress to ask for more straws. They think they’re being eco friendly by not giving plastic straws, they’re not! The paper straws have a wax coating, so can’t be recycled. Food wasn’t good at all, chilli was bland, rice mediocre (no better than microwave rice which can be pinged at home), Mexican poppadum was rock hard, don’t eat it unless you want to break your teeth! Ximxim was revolting! Just 6 tiny crayfish the size of a little fingernail in it (hubby even mentioned he had never seen crayfish that small before). The chicken in it made me vomit…at the table! I have never done that before. First bite had a membrane on it, like trying to eat a thin condom, second bite had the cartilage running through it, which made me gag when I tried to eat it. The waitress offered me another dish, if they can’t cook something as simple as chicken, or a chilli, I certainly didn’t want anything else! Obviously clueless cooks in the kitchen. This was removed from my bill fortunately. We certainly won’t be eating at a Las Iguanas ever again, ruined hubby’s birthday. Disgusting food at expensive prices with poor service in a deafening din. Plenty of nice places to eat in Gunwharf fortunately. If you value your stomach, and your ears, this is a...

However, I ordered a cheeseburger, after seeing a big tasty meat filled burger on the table opposite. What turned up however was in fact cheese in a burger roll. Not remotely a 'burger', as in MEAT. They offered to replace it, but as I ordered it, and I'm not unreasonable, I kept it as I don't like food to be wasted, and accepted it was my fault for not being more specific. Mis-ordering aside, There were 2 puny slices of halloumi in the 'burger'. When I tried to eat it, the buns fell to bits and I then had to pick at the crummy mess that remained. The Mrs had the mushroom fajitas and she really enjoyed them.
Staff were friendly, however we weren't checked on til we asked for the bill.
The place was very noisy and I was constantly asking my partner to repeat herself.
The bill. My biggest gripe. I usually tip and tip well for great service. But as we weren't checked on the entire time, the service was lacking. The cost of food is on par with most places. But the 'optional service fee' that's already added to the bill when presented is out of order. This preys on the fact that most normal people won't argue the fact or ask for it to be removed. It's not reasonable to assume that your service was acceptable enough to add 10% to the bill, it really wasn't. I think this is an underhanded tactic to claw more money out of you without putting in the effort. I wouldn't choose to...

Its a busy Saturday so I and my friends take a chance on a table, we're told by one of the staff there aren't any inside tables but we can order food outside through the qr code. We take a table yet to be cleaned and I ask someone to give the table a wipe down and he says he'll get someone to do it, he dissappears and our table never gets cleaned. The three of us proceed to try to use the QR code, which then says food orders aren't being taken so we ask another staff member what's happening as ordering online isn't working to which he says we can't order food outside, while other people around us are eating outside. I go back inside to double check we can eat outside and to ask what to do if online ordering wasn't working, the staff member says we can indeed eat outside and if we were struggling to order we can order at the bar. I then proceed to attempt to order at the bar to which another member of staff says they're only taking orders through the QR code, to which I say the online ordering isn't working for all three of us. He then replies with well its working for everyone else and offers no further help. Half an hour of up and down from a dirty table and no food or drinks later we just give up, I've never come...
