We visited during the opening of Cathedrals at night, but we visted before Sunset so sadly did not get to experiance it in full on the outside. Inside spaced out was beautiful coloured lights giving a more relaxed and friendly tone. There was some very interesting parts as we walked around giving the history of sections or items on display. Everyone there was warm and friendly during our short visit. We was asked to fill out a form when we arrived about our visit. I don't mind feedback, but yeh don't unless they have shortened it. It does not display correctly in horizontal orientation and it's question after question. Towards the end I gave up and randomly hit options. Multiple questions could have been merged. The only downside of the visit

I have some memories from when my Grandparents lived in Portsmouth, but as they moved away in 2004, I didn't get to go back here for many years, even though I regularly visit the city with my family. Now that I'm studying in Southampton, it's easier for me to travel into Portsmouth on my own, and the cathedral was one of the things that I desperately wanted to do. The outside never disappoints because of its stunning architecture, but the inside is just how I remembered it from when I was a child, and it'll always remain one of my favourite places of worship to visit! Plus I'd love to give a massive thanks to all the volunteers who run the cathedral and keep it in fantastic shape!

Went for Christmas carol service in December. The choir were amazing and the cathedral was quite impressive. However the choir moved from the main hall down to the front where we no longer had the impact of them singing right in front of us. Would have been good to split them up maybe and have a smaller group remaining at the back. Other than that it was lovely and very christmassy especially when we lit the candles. Was not allowed to take pics during the service, so the image was take before the choir entered.

Beautiful and serene church close to the royal garrison church. We found very friendly and helpful elderly volunteers here who were more than willing to take us through the church history explaining in detail about the phases of it's construction spread across time. The stained glass windows and music being played on the organ was good.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful, welcoming and accommodating to my personal interests (particular historical eras). Free roam around the entire building, very quiet and plenty of historical references. I highly suggest visiting if you have even just a short bit of time to spare. Cheap parking metres on nearby roads. 5*!
