Several years ago I worked for a building maintenance company that had the contract for service and upkeep of the Square Tower.
They had booked a job with us, but due to an emergency the engineer was unable to attend, so I had to call the management of the Tower to reschedule for the following day.
The woman I spoke to was utterly vile and appalling, screaming the worst possible things down the phone at me. She was so rude that I was left in tears. She was simply utterly hideous.
The worst thing is, I was a regular at events at the tower before this; I knew the woman I was speaking to and had spoken to her at length before. She had always been kind, polite, friendly and lovely. However the minute she didn't know who I was, and she only thought of me as 'just an assistant, she really showed her true colours.

It does have limited seating, and plenty of standing space, a telescope which you pay to use. There is parking near-by Inc street and car park and 5 near by disabled bays. However there are steep dark steps to get to Tower top, be aware of pigeons in there which if startled will flap about and make you jump lol!!. After first lot of steps next to the cafe, if you go left, there is a much bigger space all along the wall over looking the beach and steps down to beach or under the wall if raining. Only down side is I guess drunks or homeless like to take a P In these enclosed arches so a bit smelly, but they do clearly try and keep it clean as it's often wet from cleaning when...
