What an awesome experience!

I went to 3 other jewelry stores prior to finding Gillespie Fine Jewelers for my wedding set. I tried a small independently owned one that quoted me over twice as much. I tried a big box one that claimed the small one was wrong about what needed to be done to keep my wedding set in good shape and wanted to charge 4 times as much (not an exaggeration-I was floored). The third one I went to, told me that they couldn’t quote me until their jeweler was back on Monday, but I could leave the rings with them and they’d call me-no thank you.

THEN I found Gillespie Fine Jewelers and I knew this is where everyone I love needs to come. I met the owner Kim, and his calm familiar demeanor immediately set me at ease. He was honest and fair in quoting me for my set. He actually agreed with the diagnosis from the first store which made me feel he knew his stuff. He didn’t tack on extra unnecessary prong repairs just to bump up the price. From our conversation, he told me he has been a bench jeweler since he was 25. Since he does his own work, he doesn’t have to charge us extra to pay for the jeweler doing the work. He’s not just an owner that doesn’t touch the pieces, he does everything and is extremely skilled at his craft. His quotes are transparent and he explains why the cost is what he is charging. This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at a jewelry store. I walked away finding a gentleman and a businessman I knew I TRUSTED. He did impeccable work on my set and he didn’t break the bank in the process. I will be coming back! I had an incredible experience! I brought in a family heirloom ring on which the shank broke, the shank had some stamps on it from when it was made that I wanted to preserve, I was told by other Jewelers that would not be possible. I was also nervous about leaving a family heirloom with people I didn't know, But Kim reassured me he can repair the ring and preserve the stamps, and made me feel comfortable and reassured about leaving a family heirloom in his care. Another concern i had is a tight deadline because I was leaving town for a family event. To my pleasant surprise, the ring was repaired a few days earlier than I expected. Mr. Gillespie made my engagement and wedding rings... there aren't words to describe how amazingly GORGEOUS my rings are. I get several compliments DAILY. The craftsmanship is superb and the design style is unique. It's very obvious that this isn't some generic cookie cutter ring that you find in a mall. I've had other master jewelers notice and ask me about my rings.. They really grab attention because they are SO BEAUTIFUL.
