D'Ocean Fish Market — Local services in Alafaya

The last time we went there, we were done a great disservice. On Saturday July 6th, my mother had her sunglasses camera on while she was given a ticket number for her order. Her order was #8 while another customer was order #9. The customer with the #9 ticket stated that he had his children at home to get back to, so my mother, out of courtesy, let him go ahead of her. After that, however, when they were supposed to complete my mother's order, they skipped all the way to order #13. My mother complained to the woman at the counter and she claimed that the customers called ahead of time and that it was a Saturday as it is expected to be busy, which was totally not the case. My mother was there before the vast wave of customers came in. Those customers got their orders scaled and cleaned before she got her order completed. It appears that they show favoritism towards their own people as opposed to serving the general public, and that is very bad for business. With that being said, we would never buy fish from this market ever again, nor would we recommend anyone shopping here. We will NOT...

I kept seeing this place and finally stopped to check it out. There were COVID restrictions at the time, and only so many people could be in the store at a time, so I didn't get the chance to really checkout the selection. I love cod, but when she held it up for me to look at, OMG it was huge. I talked them into cutting it in half. They packed it in ice, but I'm wondering what I'm going to do with all this fish, it was still a lot. Turns out that I ran out. I couldn't stop eating it! It was that good. I cut it into thick steaks and used different marinades and froze them. This is how good it was: I had to get food delivered while my car was in the shop. Local store, with fresh seafood. I ordered a pound of cod, pan fried some right away, take a bite- and I completely deflated. It was terrible. I threw it all out. Quality, and freshness. Once you taste it, nothing can compare. A year ago I visited D'Ocean with a friend, and was happy I did. A year later (yesterday), with the same friend, I was happy to go back. When we got home she called me to say they had forgotten to put her King Fish in her bag. She said she had called them, and asked me to go and pick it up the next day and ask for Jose. D'Ocean is a half hour from my house. I called them before I left so they could have it ready. I said I was coming to pick up the KING FISH and was to ask for Jose. The person who answered said Jose was not there but just to come in. When I arrived, there was a line outside, so I called hoping they would just bring it out to me. This time I was able to speak with Jose and for some reason he hung up on me. When I finally got in I was told they were out of fresh King Fish. They could have told me this when I first called. An hour wasted. Because of the Virus there were only four customers in the market. Customer service could have been better....
