Yarn and needles are one of those things you can buy online, but if you are lucky enough to be able to drop in to a shop it will be such a superior experience. I nearly bought bamboo yarn that was lovely but wrong for socks. I bought the wrong size needles and they exchanged them in a nano second - no waiting for register. I struggled with the cast on but I knew I could pop in for expert advice. (And you can get your smog check nearby too! How...

Came here during yarn crawl and absolutely adored it! So many gorgeous yarns including locally made (super important for me). A variety of knitting thingamabobs and magical display in the front make this place so special and unique. And it’s their birthday as well! Happy birthday Coven...
