This is the worst Apple Store in the world. I showed up last Friday within 1 h 15ā of closing after I had called to check on the inventory of the IPhone 15 pro max. So I was told there was one phone available for pickup first come first serve, not a big deal since I was 5 mins walk from the store. I showed up, a tattooed head man shows up with an iPad asking how he could help me. I stated that I had called and I wanted to buy the iPhone. He says unfortunately it will take more than an hour to process the purchaseā, shocked I replied. āWhatās so hard about buying an iPhone that heād take a full hour?ā, he then said ā we close in an hourā. I soon realized he was making up excuses, so I proposed that I could place the order online right there and just pick up the phone. The tattooed man said, well I have two salesmen right now on the floor itāll still take an hour. I said, why donāt you get me the phone from the back room, it wonāt take that long? He said oh weāre the last State, everywhere else it is 10pm so weāre the last to close, sorry, comeback tomorrow. Disappointed, I turned around to leave, he interjected that I could buy online and come back to pick it up tomorrow. I told him you know, Iām not a resident of Alaska and Iām leaving by noon tomorrow, so I wanted to grab the phone now because I wonāt have time to come by at 10am when the store opens up, I got a flight to catch. He seemed unconvinced so I just left. I have never seen lazy people like him, really willing to turn away a customer paying cash for a phone, he didnāt care because 1 hour wasnāt enough to sell a phone. If I was his boss, heād be fired that same moment. I want my employees to keep the doors open if a last minute customer shows up. I didnāt even show up last minute. Apple who do you hire? Who actually hired this guy? Unpleasant, unfriendly and lazy? Why does it take 1 hour to buy a phone? Itās not a car or a boat, itās a phone!!!!! Max 5 mins, why would you need 55 more mins to process a sale? Something is wrong with your system or the employees you got. I crown you the worst Apple Store on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust purchased the IPhone 14 pro in the Anchorage store. The staff was awesome, and although I think years ago, I may have purchased a new car in a bit less time, about an hour and a half, even that was not too bad this close to the IPhone new release. Much of the time was spent getting my cell phone service carrier to email a code for the eSim. Not appleās fault. My carrier did not seem well prepared for that, and it took a few transfers and several ācan you hold a moment, Iāll be right backā
I wish I could remember the name of the first person at Apple who helped me, she was truly a rock star. Iām only medium savvy in the techie department, and she was a great help. I was passed to 4 different people during the process. The last person was helping me and a second customer at the same time. Things got a bit confusing with all that was going on. It seemed a few functions were not working completely on the new phone and I wanted to ensure it worked before I left. I mentioned that to the person who seemed to be in charge, he was polite but went a little āSteve Jobsā on me and let me know how busy they were and that they would always do business that way, helping more than one customer at a time. He said I could have made an appointment, and he was right, however I wanted to trade my old phone in immediately without paying the new phone full price, so I didnāt preorder or make an appointment. He was also very busy and helpful and I really ācanāt complain, but sometimes I still doā Bottom line, great store, Iām happy they are there and thrilled to get my new phone walking in the door so close to the release date. Biggest tip, if required call your carrier to get that ESim code as soon as you arrive, and have a little patience. I believe the major national carriers donāt require the email ESim code. Also, there was an IOS update 16.0.1 that fixed the issues my phone was having...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was thoroughly screwed over today. I had cracked my iphone screen - the screen didn't look great, but it was working just fine.....until I dropped it off for a standard repair.
When I came back they had incorrectly replaced the screen - in the process damaging the phone to the point where it couldn't be used at all.
Now, I was told "sometimes that happens"....but no, unless you have incompetent people carelessly handling your phone it does not 'just happen'. Someone pressed on a wire too hard, or mishandled what should have been a perfectly standard repair job.
I had to pay for a whole new phone. DO NOT HAVE YOUR PHONE REPAIRED HERE. It is very simple to go in and fix it yourself - or at the very least choose someone else to do it - that's what I should have done from the beginning but I didn't want to void the warranty.....now I have a whole new phone to reload and a big dent in my wallet.
It's really my fault that I made the poor choice of supporting the apple brand. That was nobody's choice but mine. It's obvious to me now that their employees have no clue what they're doing, and their products get worse by the day. Thanks for the crappy service once again.
Oh, and by the way, I won't point out which reviews on here are fake....as they are so poorly constructed, and obvious that even a monkey could point them...
