Alaska Law Enforcement Museum — Attraction in Alaska

Wow, this museum was full of so much interesting stuff right back to the beginnings of law enforcement in Alaska. What those guys had to go through back in the day wearing those heavy wool uniforms and trekking through the snow in wild weather conditions. I took the time to watch the documentary, read about all of the exhibits and look over every detail. I got stuck in the Patch Room for so long because they have so many to look at from every Police Unit. Bought a couple of excellent quality shirts and a replica Alaska State Trooper badge too because of the brown bear emblem. The volunteer that day was super nice and very knowledgable. A nice little stop if you have a bit of time to kill. The price is definitely reasonable, with entrance only being $5. I will say I think the museum could benefit from potentially having a bit more flow. However, it was interesting to see the history of law enforcement for an area with such severe climates and a relatively recent but rich history. Sadly when I was there nothing was playing in the movie room. Do not think this is a must if in Anchorage for a short amount of time but if someone wanted to stop by...
