The food was tasty but the service was terrible. I came in with a group 3 and there were no orders in front of us around 10:45am. After 25 minutes and seeing 4 different people that had been behind us get their food and coffees before us, I flagged the guy that took our order. He apologized and said it would be out soon. 10 more minutes go by and 2 of the three of our crepes finally comes out. He then asks the last individual what he ordered again (i.e., he had to be reminded of the order again). 10 more minutes and 4 more customers get their crepes that order 20+ minutes after us. Our 3rd order still wasn’t out yet. I reminded him again and he then asks again if we wanted bacon or sausage in the last (breakfast) crepe….again, hadn’t even started our 3rd crepe yet. Ridiculous! It finally comes out and is tasty, however, I witness the same younger main guy having to go to another table and ask them the same question, what they ordered (even though he was the one at the counter taking everyone’s orders). As someone who is from Fairbanks and in the food industry where the Crepery restaurant up there has it down pat, they really need to work on their ordering/cooking process….it’s not that hard (especially considering the employee cooking the crepes was 4 feet away at the same counter). It’s also a problem when you have to pay for your food (and tip) prior to receiving any food or service. Lesson learned…I will not be tipping before any service/food is prepared...
Read moreAlaska Crepery is the place to go for a light but filling breakfast at a great price. We went on a Sunday morning a little before 9am and there were a few people inside when we arrived, but it definitely started getting busier by the time we left. They have great selection of both sweet and savory crepes at very reasonable prices compared to many other crepe restaurants I've visited in other cities/states in the past. They serve a variety of coffee beverages, including Turkish coffee. We ordered a latte, Turkish coffee, and two crepes - the brie, walnuts & honey crepe and the banana Nutella crepe. The sizes of the crepes were good, prepared perfectly and tasted absolutely fantastic! They weren't stingy with the ingredients either! The prices for crepes varied between about $9-$15 and we felt that coffee beverages were also fairly priced, Turkish coffee was $3 and 12oz latte was $4 (it was a very yummy latte too). It's very casual inside with table seating. You order at the counter, they give you a number and will bring your order to you at the table. If it's busy, you may have to wait a bit for your crepes to come to the table but nothing too bad, no more than 25 minutes for our crepes to arrive. Highly recommend giving this...
Read moreWe had absolutely the best experien e here one evening. Our 13 month old was getting a bit tired of restaurants so we came here to get take out dinner. At 5pm the restaurant was fairly quiet so we decided to eat inside.
We had to sample a few crepes so we got the reindeer, salmon, brie and pear, and berries and cream. Everything exceeded our expectations. The crepes were made with such care and precision, and tasted delicious. I was disappointed we found this on our last day in Anchorage or else we would definitely have been back.
The staff was so friendly and made for such a wonderful experience. We ended the evening with a cup of Turkish coffee, a perfect end to the meal.
Our 13 month old had been fairly picky the whole trip, refusing to eat more than bread, but he ate some of all 4 crepes and kept asking for more, so good review from the...
