Everything in this store is extremely tight and cramped. The customer service isn’t terrible so for that I gave them two stars but I wasn’t impressed with their service at the same time. The sales lady was constantly smacking her gum which is already unprofessional as it is. If she were a super nice sales lady I honestly wouldn’t have cared about the gum smacking but since she wasn’t that nice I noticed it immediately. Prom dress shopping is an supposed to be a fun experience, I got my prom dress out of state this year and I received the best experience ever with a spacious dressing room, the sweetest sales lady ever who didn’t take 5 minutes to help me lace up my corset back dress, photography WAS aloud, my friend who was with me was aloud to help me put on my dress, and not to mention My friend who was with me was aloud to stand wherever she wants without being told to “sit over there”. It’s really not my problem that there’s not enough space, I want to see my best friends dress that she is trying on. They also wouldn’t let her try on certain dresses because they were “too big” which is understandable on a certain level however I’m not really sure why that would concern you, you’d still be selling a dress and making money with a satisfied customer. I tried on a prom dress that was obviously too big for me I just wanted to see what it would look like and I wasn’t told no because it was too big for me. Another thing, my friend was also told that she couldn’t buy a dress in that size because “it didn’t even zip up” even though my friend didn’t really care because she just loved the dress and it fit super tight on her which is what she liked. Another thing I’d like to add is when we asked the sales lady about ordering online she said “I will order it for you” which honestly makes no sense because when we left I went into their website and navigated it just fine, maybe there’s a reason behind this but she didn’t put in any effort to explain. To add, I was also asked to not pick up dresses and to tell a worker when I find one I like and to give it to her? Once again, all of these things that I’m listing just stood out to me because I went to two places to buy a prom dress Windsor, and A bridal shop. At neither of those places was I told I couldn’t pick up dresses, no photography, cant help my friend zip up dresses and all of the other things I listed above. I’d like to say again that If that one sales lady didn’t have the demeanor she did all of these things wouldn’t of bothered me as much as it did! She wasn’t downright rude but her attitude was almost mocking and bratty, and she could have said many things differently. I genuinely have never left a bad review in my life because I’ve never felt the need to and also who has time for that? But now I’m one of those annoying people! I work in the service industry I know how it is so really this review should be no surprise considering she asked to leave her a good review. I wish my friend had the prom dress shopping experience that I did but...

Review:
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Fourth Ave. Boutique in search of a dress for my son's wedding. As someone who isn't particularly fond of wearing dresses and felt quite apprehensive about the entire process, I cannot express enough how delighted I am with the outstanding service and exceptional experience I had at this charming boutique.
From the moment I walked through the doors, I was warmly greeted by Isis, who immediately put me at ease with her genuine smile and friendly demeanor. Her expertise and genuine passion for helping customers find their perfect outfit made all the difference. Isis intuitively understood my concerns and made it her mission to make this experience relaxing, fun, and enjoyable.
What truly stood out about Isis was her ability to push me out of my comfort zone in the most delightful way. She encouraged me to try on dresses that I would have never considered for myself, assuring me that it's worth exploring different styles. And oh boy, was she right! I was pleasantly surprised to find that these unconventional choices suited me in ways I couldn't have imagined. Isis has an incredible eye for fashion and an uncanny knack for understanding her customers' unique tastes and preferences.
But the magic didn't stop there. Isis patiently listened to my feedback, paid attention to every detail, and helped me narrow down the selection until we found THE dress - the one that made me feel absolutely amazing. It was a remarkable moment of pure joy and self-confidence, thanks to Isis's expert guidance and unwavering support.
The entire experience at Fourth Ave. Boutique was nothing short of extraordinary. The boutique itself exudes elegance, with a well-curated collection of dresses that cater to a range of styles and occasions. The ambiance is inviting, and the staff are attentive and friendly, creating an atmosphere that feels like stepping into a fashion haven.

Read moreI came into the store on 3/20/22, the store was packed you could barely walk without bumping into someone, and there was a line to use the fitting room. My daughter found a dress that she really liked in our budget, because of the no return policy I wanted her to try it on; however we didnt have time to wait in that line. I asked Isis if they could hold it until tomorrow and she said no problem took my info. We came back the next day (3/21/22 at 1:04pm) as the store was opening, but they sold the dress the day before. However, they had a large (she needed the medium that was sold) in the same dress, Isis suggested getting it altered...so we bought the dress not thinking about the cost of alterations, which I now know is pricey because of the beads. Although, Isis and her mother were very nice, I feel it was bad business to agree to hold the dress and then turn around and sell it the same day. I should've went elsewhere, but this is Alaska and we have limited options. I just am upset and not happy about the purchase Updated: Thank you for your response. Although, I understand that we are all human, and errors happens...the extra cost will still affect me, which will be about an extra $70-80. Seems like hold items would be placed in a seperate location. I took off work to come get this dress. I am just really disappointed and even more at the response....
