Taqueria mexicana is a place I would highly recommend. The prices are very affordable. There are many options to pick from, varying between authentic Mexican and New Mexican. My go-to order from this restaurant is the shredded beef burrito with their salsa that comes with it. The onions, cilantro, and salsa taste very fresh and the flavor is very strong. I also favor their shredded beef over others in Albuquerque because of how delicious it is! The burrito also included beans and cheese. I appreciate the beans because they are creamy and seasoned, I am typically quite picky about beans. I would highly recommend coming here because of the affordability, taste, and convenience. I also enjoy all of the authentic Mexican sodas and horchata to choose from. My favorite is the mandarin jarritos. I would recommend going during the day due to the area and affordable pricing. I would also recommend taking it to go because there is only outside seating with tables for 2. The crunch of the onions is unbeatable and satisfying, the rice soaks up the juices of the meat and then flavor bombs. The tortilla holding this beautiful burrito together also tastes so fresh and soft. Wonderful flour...
Read moreThe food is good, the prices are fine, but lawdamighty, it takes FOREVER to get my food. October 26, 2021, I placed an order, the receipt was time stamped at 11:37 am and was told it would be ten minutes. At 11:57, I asked about my order, was told it would be another two minutes. I watched countless people walk up, order and walk away with their food before I received my food at 12:08, thirty one minutes after I'd ordered. When I did finally get my food, there was no offer of compensation for wasting my entire lunch break waiting for the food ("hey, I threw a churro in there to thank you for the wait"). When I finally sat down to eat, two of the tacos were cold and the tortillas were nearly inedible they were so tough. If you're going to go, go when there is NO ONE else waiting to order or waiting for their food, or you're going to be there...
Read moreNever had street tacos with lettuce and tomatoes, barely any cilantro.1 lime for 4 tacos. I ordered rice and beans. I literally got a scoop of both. Paid $15.Disappointed. I'm from out of town and thought the hole in the wall would be good. Food wasn't terrible, I just wasn't ready for lettuce and tomatoes. No jalapeño pepper? Nothing blew me away. 1 sause for four tacos? And It was Luke warm. I'm only 3 minutes away. I had to put it in the microwave? And I can't get over the table spoon of beens. Customer service was good though. I just wanted to add..The tacos were seasoned well, the homemade corn tortillas were the best I've had so far. I can kinda guess why the front door is boarded. I just didn't get want lettuce and tomatoes. I should've...
