We hired Daedalus Teks for IT hardware and support, and what followed was a troubling pattern of deception, unauthorized access, and aggressive, unprofessional behavior that no business should ever tolerate.
Unauthorized Public Wi-Fi Deployment:
They set up and broadcast a public Wi-Fi network in our office, labeled "Daedalustek Free Public WiFi," without our permission. This network used our internet connection and exposed our office network to public traffic under their branding. Accessing the network required accepting terms of service that encouraged a five-star rating of their Facebook page.
Attempt to Charge for Removal:
When we objected to this unauthorized public hotspot, we were told its removal would cost extra, despite it being implemented without our knowledge or approval.
Locked Out of Our Systems:
We paid in full for servers, routers, and storage equipment, yet we still do not have full administrative access, and some of the hardware remains in their possession. We are effectively locked out of parts of our own infrastructure, and repeated requests to resolve this have been met with resistance or outright silence.
Undelivered Services and Improper Billing:
Purchased SSL certificates are being withheld, and a canceled on-site visit was still billed. Attempts to resolve billing disputes have been met with delays, blame-shifting, or no response at all.
Hostile Communication:
We contacted them for urgent support the day after their weekend installation caused system outages. Instead of taking responsibility, we were met with outrage, hostility, and a total shutdown of communication. We were later banned from their premises.
Owner's Direct Involvement:
Cesar Garcia, the owner, personally performed the work, installed the unauthorized network, withheld access, and demanded payment to undo it. His claim that “a tech” acted independently is false. He is fully responsible and refuses to own it.
Inappropriate Request for a Tip:
After charging over $2,300 for an installation that consisted of a single router and NAS drive, Mr. Garcia presented his card reader and asked for a tip. Ironically, his own staff had previously advised us not to tip him. This level of tackiness speaks volumes about the professionalism of this operation.
Unprofessional Response to Criticism:
In response to our review, Mr. Garcia issued personal attacks, misdirection, and vague legal threats rather than addressing the core facts. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about how this business handles criticism, accountability, and client relationships.
Taking Action:
We are currently pursuing chargebacks, regulatory complaints, and legal action. All claims are backed by written communication, invoices, technical documentation, and logs.
🚨 Do not trust this company with your IT infrastructure. If you value professionalism, accountability, or even just access to the equipment you paid for, avoid Daedalus Teks at all costs. Their conduct has been unethical, evasive, and, in our...
Read moreI called these people after picking them from the phone book just to hook up a new printer at one of my 7 stores. They couldn't fit me until 3 days later but I went ahead and made the appointment. I informed them at the time that I wouldn't be there but the manager of that store would be there. The day of I guess they showed up 30 minutes late which was no big deal but the manager and the tech couldn't figure out what the password was to get onto the computer even though I wrote it on a bright pink sticky note and stuck it to the computer screen. I guess they tried to call but it just happened to be at the one time my phone had died and I didn't know . The tech was at the store less than 7 minutes and left. When I called 7 minutes later he said he was pulling away from the store and I begged him to go back. He was sooooo rude and hateful and said he had better things to do and they could maybe fit me in 3 day later!!! When I spoke to the manager at the store he stated that the tech showed up 30 minutes late and was very rude from the minute he walked in and kept saying he had better things to do and places to be. The manager said he was trying to figure it out and was begging the guy to stay. I told him never mind sir I'll find another company. I called another number from the phone book and they came out the same day and got it done in leads then 15 minutes for cheaper. The new tech was so nice and helpful that he is the new IT guy for all 7 of my locations and we will use him often. Now the kicker, these terrible people had the audacity to send me a bill for $136 for "no showing" the appointment!!! I can't even believe that they would do this after everything that happened and after their tech was so rude. Do yourself a favor and avoid the stress and wait time and don't even bother calling these guys. If they make time for you they will be late and will let you know from the second they get there that they have better things to do. Wow. Blown away. Needless to say I will Die owing this $ to these...
Read moreSo, I found this computer place online when I searched on my Google maps of course 20 others came up. I went into a couple places and the people talked down to me as if I didn’t know anything about computers. That’s where DTeks comes in.
I went into the shop I talked to a couple guys, I said this is what I want to do, and they were so chill and cool to talk to. Not to mention they have a Lotta great computer stuff in tech. So I got a quote from Cesar Gomez, he said he loves working on IMCs and I was sold. He gave me a price he gave me a couple options with ram and I went with it.
Took the computer in two days later finished a price I will never complain about, and such great people to talk to and work with.
I know do you have choices, many of you wanna go to Best Buy, or the guy that has a big store, but if you are down to earth and you want straight up excellent service excellent prices communication etc. etc. this is the...
