A complete disappointment in service by Kelley Thurston. Unfortunately made a bad situation worse with her involvement. If you are a landlord during covid-10. Dont bother she will waste your money.

Kelley has yet to provide the "order of dismissal" from our hearing to evict a former tenant who's lease expired and has no legal right to occupy the property. We have consulted with another attorney that told us NO ONE is filing these cases as no judge is hearing them. I specifically asked that she be ready to file when we could actually get something accomplished. I checked in as the economy started to be opened to see if we were at that point she went ahead and filed a complaint that NO JUDGE WILL HEAR. She then told us she would "eat" the cost to refile our complaint but gave a very dismal view of how long that could take etc... we've since been told that if an attorney says they will provide anything without an additional cost its because they did something wrong. So it seems that she either doesnt know the rules during this time or chose to file our complaint knowing it wouldnt be heard...her best advice for the price we paid was "You should get out and vote". Wow....dont waste your money for the advice anyone could give for free. She also suggested we could spend even more money and offer to buy this person (illegally occupying) off of our property. We haven't seen a dime since March 2020 and after handing her 1500.00 she says we should consider handing over even more to someone who without the "hail mary" of covid-19 would be evicted. WARNING Do NOT use this law firm! Specifically, Ke’vion Pinckney! I was lied to and taken advantage of financially and emotionally! I let Mr. Pinckney know I wasn’t happy with his services nor could I afford to pursue my case in court like he wanted to do. I asked him to please file a motion for a Default Judgement. It was crystal clear opposing party was not going to sign. He responded by saying I would not be charged for any activity for the month of February and he would be withdrawing from representing me. He lied! I was charged for February AND March! I went through one of the toughest times in my life and could not have been taken advantage of more. They held onto the laughable $200 refund of my $5,000 retainer fee as long as they could. Ironically, once Mr. Pinckney withdrew all the emails vanished! Luckily, I knew he and the firm were shady, I made copies of the emails. PLEASE do NOT make the same mistake I made choosing him to represent you!!! I filed my own motion for Default and the judge signed it in 3 days!!! That’s how obvious this case was. It was only about the money for Mr. Pinckney! We made appointment with them for living trust. Since it was our first time doing it, we didn't know what to expect and wanted to come prepared. Couple days before our appointment, my husband called to see if we need to bring any documents with us to the appointment. The receptionist answered the phone with an extremely unfriendly manner telling us that we needed to discuss with our lawyer and he would tell us what to do. It seems like we would need to pay for several appointments to have this done. However, we still decided to go with them since they have good review on google. On our appointment date, we showed up at their office only to know that our appointment had been cancelled due to emergency. They told us they had to cancel our appointment the day before, but couldn't contact us to reschedule because they didn't have our phone number, which was hard to believe. It was a very frustrating situation for us since we had to take off work to come. And for a lawyer office who can't even handle an appointment cancellation correctly, you can't depend on them to do anything else right.
