Walked in and wasnt greeted as the manager was too busy talking with another customer about how good COVID was for business -- because you know: money people. Anyway, the manager then said that Gamestop needs to be hiring more store leadership who wants to run businesses, not run fun places to hang out.
Well i WAS going to give you my business, but I no longer am having fun at the place I was hanging out. I've been to gamestop one.other time in the last 5 years because of behavior like this.
Gamestop -- work on hiring friendly employees who respect their customers and the law -- because neither the manager NOR the customer he was conversing with were respecting the mask mandate that is currently in place
I also suspect that I wasn't greeted because I was wearing a mask. I was clearly wearing a gaming-related shirt, and should have been easy to greet and suggestive sell to.
Fix your staff, GameStop, but I also suspect that this is an issue above the store level. Maybe work on your corporate business ethics and let that wind its way through the company as a whole.

Read moreI called and asked if they still take XBOX 360s for store credit. The man on the phone told me yeah no problem just bring it here and we'll take a look at it. I went there, waited in line for more than 10 minutes, and when I got up to the counter the employee told me to wait because that would take a while and he needs to help the customers behind me in line beacause that would be faster. So I waited a few more minutes and after more people started showing up, I walked out. It doesn't really fit with good business practices to tell someone who has already waited patiently in line to wait longer because other customers are more convenient for him. I will never go back to this trainwreck of a business again, unless I feel the urge to waste my life away. Here's some critical thinking: if you know you're under staffed, don't tell me on the phone to bring in something you can't commit to handle. Tell me to come on a different day or later In the day....

He constantly helps and goes above and beyond for his customers. Recently I had an experience with another associate named Alex, who provided EXCELLENT customer service. Anytime I walk in or see anyone else walk in, he always greets everyone with such a personable greeting and positive Attitude. Recently he helped me in a situation that caused him to go out of his way to help me, and I am truly appreciative to that!
