Order over $7,000.00 of window blinds to go in our newly remodeled lake house. Home Depot recommended a blind contractor to install the window blinds. The blind contractor did a poor job on installing the blinds on the 3 entry doors. He did not properly measure were to place the blinds on our new doors. He did not use a tape measure or level to install the blinds, he eyeballed them and now they are all unlevel. He missed placed several of the mounting screws and now I have unnecessary screw holes in my brand new entry doors. I had to spend my Saturday redoing all the blinds on the 3 doors. I spoke to Home Depot but they said the contractor doesn't work for them. The blind guy also never checked the blinds to see if they were working properly. A couple of the window blinds were not functioning properly which we discovered after he left. This is unacceptable and disappointing.

Had bath floor replaced by HD installer. Horrible stressful experience. He messed up everything in there; even the subfloor had to be completely redone when he left, at our expense. Cut up and damaged all the molding for no reason. Damaged the tub. Broke the flange on toilet. Floor was over an inch uneven in several spots. Toilet couldn't be set after that. HD refunded our money but that didn't even cover the tearout and subfloor redo. Costs us double in the end. He even stole leftover product when he left. After he ripped out the old floor it took him a month to return so no toilet for a long time. Should have finished that the next day. Demanded a 5 star review on his way out! What a sense of humor he had.

The carpet installers came and blew a fuse in the house, busted a tile and (didn't even tell me) carpeted over a heater vent and left it, and installed tack strips in the walk ways.. We have holes in our feet now and a tile job to do and a carpet job to finish. They offered $50 for some grout to fix what they broke. I said don't bother. I even had to jumpstart the carpet guys car..

Most of the time when I go into this store I have a poor experience. The shelves are typically poorly stocked when the app says they have a case. The staff tends to be difficult to find and in a poor mood. I had the same experience twice when interacting with the store manager because he happened to be there. I wasn't complianing just looking for help, and he acted as though I was a huge inconvenience and he didn't want my business. The cashier's can be friendly but it's a toss up even with the same person between visits. I wish I could say this experience was only true during the pandemic because they are in a stressful situation but it's not. It's only got worse because of it.

Most of the positive interactions I've had are with customer service. I once returned something and they were super helpful in returning and replacing the item that broke. I've also dealt with them regularly for pickup orders and they've been really stellar. They always get the items quickly and are friendly and professional in their interactions.

I'll continue to shop there because the prices are better and I've always dealt with big box stores. It's an easier one stop solution for a lot of needs, and as I've mentioned pickup is great. If I had another solution with comparable pricing I'd go there, but I don't so I'll keep putting up with the...
