Teton Toys Lehi — Local services in Lehi

I visited for the first time a few days ago. It was fun. I liked their big selection for most of the products they sell, and I'll likely go back. The reason I dock two stars is because their prices are high. I'm the type of guy that will gladly pay a few dollars more to shop locally but some of their prices are as much as 20% higher than competitors. I'm not going to spend that much extra. (I didn't take stars for the following items, but they're just suggestions to improve the experience.) The aisles are small. Two grown men can't really walk by each other without bumping shoulders. I get it, they have a lot of product, but this also means they've outgrown their location. It was awkward walking halfway down an aisle and having to turn around and walk back the other way because somebody was blocking the aisle. Finally, and maybe I'm old fashion, but where were the christmas decorations? The christmas music? A box to mail your letters to Santa? So much missed opportunity for a toy store. Definitely go check it out, just price...

Today I brought my grand kids to Teton Toys. I have shopped here several times and love it so much. They had a great time playing with the trains that are set up there for kids to play with.The selection of toys is HUGE--something for everyone. One of my favorite toys are the Melissa and Doug brand toys and I can't find them too many places. These toys foster old-fashioned creativity and fun. A few weeks ago I bought a tea set and miniature pots and pans for a little cupboard that my dad made me 45 years ago and now my grand kids play with it. A few days ago they had hours of fun pouring water from the pot to the teapot to the cups and even some on the floor. I just sat back and smiled. I also bought some Pick Up Sticks today--a simple game that was so fun for me when I was was their age. I can't wait to play with them. This is a one-stop-shop if you are looking for fun. Love their selection of items and customer service is always excellent! I've had associates patiently wrap birthday gifts, or even stay after closing time to ring up purchases or help us make our final selections. We always find fun stuff here. Prices are slightly higher than average, but I don't mind paying a bit extra to a local store for service with a smile and a great selection. I've also made returns here and was treated very well, so long as I had my receipt. Today, our sales associate said he gave me an extra 5% off our purchases. Not sure if this was based on total purchases, or if it's a limited time sale, but I'll take it. He was also very kind to answer my young son's questions and didn't get annoyed or ignore him as I've seen at other stores. He was knowledgeable about the board games and card games I was...
