Steinman Grocery — Local services in Anacortes

Store changed ownership in Sept. 2018. The new owner has cleaned the buisness up, no more dope pipes on display, store looks clean, family friendly. Very decent selection of snacks, beer, wine for a small store. The prices are high, but it's a convenience store, (go to one of the grocery stores if you want low prices, duh). Currently there is no EBT. Expect a 50 cent fee if you use a credit or debit card (they can't afford to eat a 75 cent transaction fee, which I understand). This is an Anacortes landmark of sorts.. Small neighborhood grocery.. A little bit of everything and the emergency stuff isn't $36.75 for a box of matches.. Marked up but not ridiculous.. Love that they stay open till 10 on weekdays for late night beer & Smokes run.. Great store.. Convenient location.. Little bit of everything.....

A great place to stop for snacks before the ferry or wa park and a fantastic corner store for locals. Great selection (they have a walk in beer cooler!), prices are on par with Safeway. If you're a frequent customer they will remember you in that good vibe...
