We found this restaurant last night (10/21/2023)
Ordered 12 carne asada tacos and guacamole.
I wish that I took photos of my food to share. This was hands down the ONLY authentic "street taco" location I have found after living up here for 6 years. Also, at $3 taco it's also the most inexpensive I have found for those if you that eat a lot of tacos in one sitting.
We ordered tacos & guacamole. The only downside was that they did not have chips, but to be honest, the quality of the tacos and the quality of the guacamole made me completely forget about this. Also, the guacamole came with tostadas which essentially you could use as a chip.
The lady that helped us was extremely friendly, humorous, and provided great service. I believe that this is a family-owned location based on what I learned from talking to her. So I really hope that the city of Anacortes and surrounding cities are able to keep this business afloat because it was absolutely the best taco place I have found in our corner of the world.

Read moreI have been craving real good Mexican food. I asked my gardner’s where to go and they recommended this restaurant. I went there and ordered the carne asada plate and a bowl of menudo. The carne asada was good but a little over cooked. I received good home cooked beans but was expecting and hoping for refried beans. They were ok too but a little runny. The rice was ok. The home made tortillas were great and the menudo was very good! There was no hominy in the menudo which was fine with me. The tripe was perfectly cooked, juicy and scrumptious. I had them add a pigs foot which was out of this world yummy. *Would I go back? Probably ONLY for the menudo and tortillas. There seemed to be only two people working, the cook and the order taker/server. They were very nice but a bit over worked. I’m not going to knock them for the tables not being cleaned quickly. They were doing 5he best...
Read moreThe cooking here definitely reminds me a lot of Mexico… no Taco Bell flair here! The menu is all text AND in Spanish (that’s how you know they’re legit.) They don’t do free refills here, $2/refill (that’s how I really know they’re Mexican 🤣)
Joking aside, I ordered Chile Relleno (I’m vegetarian) with a side of mole (because mole is one of the hardest things to make in the menu) and I must say, I am pretty impressed with their chef! The pepper is properly coated and cooked in different layers and the sauce compliments it!
Sure, it’s not a 3 star Michelin restaurant, but this comes reeeeaaaal close to how it’s like in Mexico (without the Cartel)!
So many vegetarian options, plenty of parking space, plus the staff will greet you in...
