I purchased my first pandora bracelet here with the carriage clasp. The associate asked if I would like to wear my bracelet. I asked if it was secure because I didn’t want to risk losing it in the park. She assured me that the clasp is very secure and it would not come off. I want to emphasize that the employee is the one that put the bracelet on me and secured it with the clasp. I never took it off in the park that day. Eight hours later and my bracelet was gone. The clasp did in fact come undone and it’s gone. I go back this morning and spoke with the manager who once again said that she has seen this clasp personally and has never had it come undone, but that nothing can be done since I don’t have the bracelet to prove the clasp was defective. If you’re still assuring me that it should have been secure and I lost it, how am I suppose to have the bracelet to prove it’s defective? I lost it because it was obviously defective. So if they assure you that you won’t lose it, just know that if you happen to have defective clasp, which you wouldn’t know, and lose it, they do not stand by their product. I would understand if days or weeks have passed, but I returned less than 12 hours from the time of purchase.
Update: After contacting Disney and explaining the situation, they have offered a replacement. I’m so relieved that Disney made this right, but am disappointed that the manager at this store did not attempt to help in any way. She did not advise me to contact Disney merchandise or even offer to reach out to Pandora to see if an exception could be made given the circumstances. If you buy a Pandora bracelet, invest in a safety chain, which is something I’m only now learning about that could have been recommended at the time of my purchase when expressed concern over losing it.
