The world of Disney is a big emporium of sorts that captures just about everything and anything you would find in the Disney parks. During the time of my visit they had just came out with Halloween merchandise and those things were literally flying off the shelves.
You can get pretty much anything else from pins, clothings, toys, jewelry, backpacks, etc. They have large rooms with different items on display.
Mobile checkout is available here. However, when I tried to use it my order did not go through, I went to mobile checkout for assistance, again it didn't go through, so I was forced to wait in the checkout line which can get very long.
Certain cardmember discounts are honored here depending upon your perk. Perhaps one of the hardest things for me was finding a gift and then not being able to get it in the size I needed. Time and time again I was told that whatever was out on the floor, that was it.
I have learned by experience that if you see something anywhere in Disney buy it there because you may not find it or the right size elsewhere. Prices are identical to the theme parks so you are not saving any money. They do ship packages for a fee.
The World of Disney is located not far from the two theme parks and in case you do miss something from the parks you may end up...
Read moreLook, I love Disney, but let's be real, in a world flooded with opportunities to buy Disney Junk (nearly every Target and Walmart in every town and endless websites), this is the worst possible way to do it.
Huge, huge store, but somehow manages to be a limited selection.
No dressing rooms so you can't be sure you got the right size on those $50 Disneyland yoga pants.
Massively overpriced cheap garbage. The apparel is poorly made. If you think just because it has a Disney tag and you bought it on the mouse's home turf, that you're going to get the good stuff, you're dead wrong.
The store has no intelligible organization so you will be walking a lot. It gets inexplicably crowded with people even though there is nothing particularly unique or reasonably priced. Maybe the cognitive dissonance is why it's hard for them to move on.
The store doesn't answer the phone because "they want to focus on the in-store guest experience" but in reality all they can do is desperately try to keep their heads above water with crowd control.
Return policy? What's that? Good luck figuring out what it is.
Disney's operation has a lot of weak points but this is one of the uglier ones....
Read moreThe World of Disney store at Downtown Disneyland in California is a true treasure trove for Disney fans. This expansive store is packed with an incredible variety of Disney merchandise, from classic souvenirs to the latest themed apparel and accessories. Every visit feels like an adventure, with much to see and explore. The store's design and atmosphere are enchanting, capturing the magic of Disney and making shopping there a unique experience.
While I adore the store for its extensive selection and the joy of finding the perfect Disney memorabilia, it's worth noting that it can become quite crowded, especially during peak times. This can make browsing challenging and sometimes affect the overall shopping experience.
The staff, however, are always friendly and do their best to assist guests, contributing positively to the bustling environment. Despite the crowds, the World of Disney remains a must-visit for anyone looking to bring a piece of the magic home.
