I have always loved Macy’s and this store. I am a loyal customer of Macy’s in general and spend a lot of money here but I’m super irritated with my experience tonight. I went to buy a polo and they told me I couldn’t buy it because it was “pennied out.” First of all, I’m in marketing and it’s as simple as you don’t sell something you can’t sell. Second of all, pennied out means something has reached its lowest price...this shirt had no sale stickers on it and was showing full price. If that wasn’t bad enough, I was acting totally rational then after I thought about it, I got back in line to ask what it meant after talking to 3 customer service telecom employees and they didn’t know The term “pennied out” (lack of branding and training from Macy’s corporate) — the employee who helped me was rude and said, in front of a line of people, “oh penny girl is back.” Word of advice, do not treat your customers like this after your stores mistake. Not to mention, she could see my disappointment the first time I went up to buy it and asked if “I really wanted it,” like she could do something about it, when I said yes, she said she couldn’t sell it. Keep in mind fragrance is so subjective so if you know what notes you like in a fragrance, they are all knowledgeable in on what could possibly work for you. It helps to ask more specific questions. In-Store availability is fairly accurate on their website if you are curious to see what stock they carry in store. Read moreOrdered a mattress from macys for my son, it wasnt bad enough to have a delivery over 5 hrs late on delivery time estimated with no contact from them, we kept calling for updates then we met them at the end of our driveway, yea it is a long driveway, the truck was at the end and they told us it’s to dark and they can’t see the house so they were not going to deliver it. My opinions were we take it now on our quad or they will take it back to the warehouse and we can pick it up. Then they wanted to refund only $35 on an $80 delivery fee. They did end up giving the delivery fee back but had to bring in a king mattress by our selves after we drove with it down our driveway...
