I have been here 2 times. First time, I was waiting in line, turned to look at one of their racks, and someone went past to the counter... not their fault I get it. I then see a customer walk away from the counter, I waited for a bit, then walked up ... mind you, all I had to do was pay... the guy stands there staring off at a rack, when he finally realized I was there, he just said oh, I'm waiting for another customer. So I step back and a minute or so, the person that had walked off, now walks back in. I waited probably about 5 more minutes and then decided I didn't want to wait. The next morning, I go back right when they open, I go to the counter and order a lock. He asked for my phone number, I give it but it doesn't bring up my account... again this is AFTER I've ordered the lock. I remember it's under my old number so I tell him oh, wait, it's under my old number. I give him my old number acount comes up. I was told part would be on 830 truck and I'd get a call. I call back about 9am, gave my number again (new, not old, I wasn't thinking) and got told they don't see anything, the truck could be late, they'll give me a call. So I call back about 10am, and a lady answers. I ask about the delivery and if my lock was in, she asked my number again, I give my number. She can't find it. Asks my name... she comes back on the phone, we'll you gave me a different number so that's what I called. It's here.
I have 2 big complaints about that ... first, I didn't speak to her at all before this, so how could I give her that number ... furthermore, how could she possibly know what was or wasn't said. Second, I continually gave my correct/current number. It isn't my fault no one wrote it down or asked what number to call. It's not my fault the guy didn't update the computer when my account didn't come up ... isn't that the point of customer service? The lady could have been more diplomatic. .. instead of challenging or implying it's my fault, how about, I'm sorry, it appears we have a different number that we tried to call... that wouldn't have upset me. Am I over reacting? I guess it's possible. But 2 visits and 0 customer service is enough for me. I...
Read moreThe manager was the rudest and should not be running a store. Today I returned some parts. They ended up charging my card before they issued the refund, completely draining my account to $0.00. When they asked me to scan my card for the second time because the first time didn't work I asked if they had charged my card and they assured me it didn't read the first time. Once I checked my mobile banking app and seen the charge I showed this to the manager who assisted me. He argued with me saying the receipt said my refund went through and that my bank messed up and must be holding my money and to contact them about the charge. The charge clearly said O'Reilly auto parts and had a time as well. He was extremely rude as if I made no sense when even the young kid had agreed with me that I was right. I grabbed my receipt from him and told him to not worry about it cause when I contact his manager this will all be taken care of. By the time I got 5 min down the street to my bank, the charge had been reversed and was back in my account. Horrible horrible customer service and experience. I will never go to this location and I will tell everyone how shady this place is. Apart I'd being a manager is taking responsibilities for your employees mistakes and correcting them. This man did nothing but deny all fault or liability. Was ride and ignorant with his comments...
Read moreThey usually have what you need and tend to have friendly staff available to help.
This is my go-to place for anything automotive. I've been coming to this location specifically for several years and the majority of the time they've had the parts I've needed already in-store. If the part is out of stock then they can typically have another store send it to them within 24 hours.
The staff are usually pretty knowledgable and helpful for general automotive questions (as it should be, its an autoparts store). They almost always find the items I need right away, which is great because I don't know where to look most of the time.
They offer free borrowing of tools so there's basically no need to buy your own for every little project. Especially those specialty tools which cost an arm and a leg.
The only gripe I've had with O'Reilly is the bundle deals, specifically for oil and oil filters. Right when you walk in you can grab a magazine with a bunch of deals listed on the front page, one of them being a bundle for a container of oil and a filter to go with it for ~25 bucks. After all my years of coming here, I don't think I've ever actually walked out of the store with...
