I bought a pair of soccer cleats last Friday at the Durham, NC, location, and they did not fit at all. I couldn't tell when I tried them on in the store. They killed my heels within 30 minutes so I decided to return and buy another pair with store credit. I went to the Apex store for the return because I saw they had the cleats I wanted to exchange them for (the Durham location did not have them in stock). The female employee told me I couldn't return them because they were "too worn" despite only being used once for 30 minutes. I won't pretend they were exactly as I bought them, but they were a wet wipe away from looking brand new.
This was after a male employee at the front of the store said there was no problem. I immediately drove back to the Durham store, and they completed the return with no problem. I ended up having to drive to a different town and spend $65 more on different cleats (because, as I said, they didn't have the ones I needed in stock. So I had to buy the fancier version), and I don't know why. I was quickly dismissed at the Apex store and received totally different...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to this location over the past 5 years. I have had a mix of bad and good experiences. Buying shoes here is a hassle. Nobody to help and very little selection of shoes. I went in to get my paintball tank filled, the store associate refused and attempted to tell me my tank was broken. I bought a brand new, 20OZ tank that was way overpriced, none the less, I went to get the tank filled and the store associate looked me and said "Really?" Yes - Really. I want my tank filled and I just spent $30, which is way overpriced to buy this tank. Please fill the tank for me. After he filled the tank he gave it to me and when I asked him where do I go to check-out, he ignored and walked off to continue his depressing life. It's not my fault if you don't get your education and work a minimum wage job all your life. These kinds of jobs were not intended for 40 year old depressed men. They were intended for college kids and high schoolers looking to get real...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought two bikes into the store yesterday for repair. I was helped by Trevor in the bike department and would like to give a shoutout for the customer service he provided!! He listened to my concern over the sound of my brakes changing and tuned up my bike to my liking. For the second bike I brought in, I had a flat tire and he swiftly replaced my inner tube and brought my bike back to top functionality. He expressed quick thinking in regards to which type of tube to replace my punctured one with, and was very attentive and professional. And for the fee of $15/tire repair, you can't beat the deal!
If anyone is looking for bike repair services, I would highly recommend this location, and do call ahead to see if...
