I bought an Ashley mattress about four months ago. It seemed at first the service was good. However, the salesman told me they would deliver it for free. All I had to do was ask them to bring it inside and they would. Come to find out they did but weren’t supposed to because that was a paid service. I had asked in the store about buying some sort of platform to hold the mattress up. Was told I didn’t need anything. Before the mattress was delivered I called the salesperson and asked again how the mattress was supposed to stay up there because it didn’t feel like I had only three slates holding it up. He assured me it would work and if it didn’t he would make a trip over to Durant himself. Well clearly it didn’t work. I called and asked about more slates. They would send some additional ( that never showed up) but he insisted it would still work. He said he called the manager of the store and asked and she said it would work. I had to pay a local young man to put the mattress on the bed. After three nights attempting to sleep I called another local furniture store and asked them about the platform that goes under. They explained that yes, indeed it needed support. I purchased a plafform from them. They brought it out (actually two different heights so I could see which one I liked. Took the mattress off the bed, placed the platform on the bed and then replaced the mattress. This at least made it seem more secure. This is absolutely the worst mattress I have ever bought. I paid around a thousand dollars for it. I was to get interest free financing for a year. Well when I got the paperwork on it, it was interest free, but they charged a fee of $135 in order to join something or other to get the interest free. All that tells me is they make up for interest free they charge the fee. Same difference. In Oder to return it because it is such a pitiful mattress I should have paid another $150 upfront to get that warranty. Now so you don’t think they were unaware I emailed the company and told them of the problems. They sent it to the the manager of the store to let her solve the problem. At the time I didn’t realize what a terrible mattress it really was. She did nothing but apologize. I think she was aware of all this salesman had done but pretended innocent. I will never buy anything else at that store again. There are many more details to this nightmare, but tried to condence as much as possible. Do not trust them. Do not shop there. It is a big scam right to your face. After only 4 months my chair legs are very loose and one of the legs are coming out. So I called the store since we got this and we don’t have people just breaking our stuff. My last couch lasted 12 years and was still looking nice. So they tell me that the protection plans can’t cover that. So they ask me if I can fix it by turning the chair over. Please don’t get scammed and buy that protection plan it covers nothing they will always find a way not to honor what is in your contract. I don’t understand how a piece of furniture can be that bad quality after only 4 months. After the store responded, here is my question that I find out yesterday.    Read moreSales Personnel asked us questions about what we wanted/looking for, they took their time, went over all options, and had us try all of those options so we could find out which bed/pillow felt the best. Did not feel pressured at all. Delivery was when I was told it would take place. The delivery personnel were polite and had the new bed setup, working, and made sure it worked correctly in 25-20 minutes. However, there is a COMMUNICATION PROBLEM from sales to delivery to delivery personnel; when they showed up they had no idea they were to move my old tempur pedic to our guest bedroom which sales told us would be no problem. Driver and helper were very unhappy because they were NOT informed about having to help me move my old bed; yet they stayed professional. Those gentlemen need a raise!
