Update! We are about to go head off to our friends wedding. Dress is so cool, this is me trying it on in the store. I’m obviously so happy that my smile is exploding. It fits really well and honestly I didnt really know what to expect, all I asked for was a pink lehenga with a bittttt of belly and the rest I was like okay surprise me! She came through! 💜💜

I drove to Massachusetts from Maine today. This is probably the closest store to find traditional Indian clothing from where I live and I feel so grateful I found Sushma’s store. I would and will gladly drive hours again to return. So far my experience has been so wonderful. I arrived today and the staff was so kind and loving and helpful for my husband and I as we had never been to the store before. They were so welcoming and happy to let us browse through all of the clothes and explained where the different kinds of garments were, and how everything could be altered, or even our own outfit could be made for us if we explained what we hoped for/the colors/materials that we liked. My lehenga will be made just for me!! I’ve never had an outfit made just for me since I was a baby. I will return and update this review with photos in the beginning of October. My husband was able to find an outfit that needed no alteration today and it is beautiful. Thank you to Sushma and all of your staff. Arlington is lucky to have you...

I never write Google reviews, but my experience with Chaubandi Boutique and Sushma Karki was so wonderful that this is the least I can do.

Background: My daughter was invited to be a flower girl in a traditional Indian wedding. We (stupidly) ordered her a lehenga online that got stuck in customs and never arrived...

The DAY BEFORE the wedding we found Chaubandi, met Sushma, and she bent over backward to accommodate my daughter. She found her the perfect dress, accessories, and shoes, she altered the dress, and she even dressed my daughter for the wedding.

It was a truly special experience, and one that my daughter will remember for a long time. I don't imagine I'll need anything else from Chaubandi in the foreseeable future, but if I do, I won't even consider going...

My daughter and I traveled 3.5 hours from northern Vermont to look for a dress to wear to a Pakistani wedding. The shop is bright, colorful and filled with so many options for Indian, Pakistani or Nepalese weddings or festivities. The store is female owned and the owner was such a pleasure to work with. She measured my daughter; thought for a moment and then quite literally pulled out the perfect Lehenge. It is simply a beautiful dress. It fit like it had been custom made for my daughter! We were amazed after having no success online.

It required one tiny alteration which the owner completed in less than one minute!

Should we have another event we will definitely make the trip to Arlington, MA again! We recommend this highly! Thank you...
