They charge a studio fee and explain it is for the use of paints and the brushes, but then do not allow you access to paints and brushes. They only allow you to choose four colors and they bring you a drop of each color at a time. If you want more you have to stay seated and raise your hand. When we complained about this one of the workers bragged to us that they could use as much paint as they wanted which was odd. We asked for more brushes they gave us two even though there was three of us. The selection there is bare and everything was covered in dust it had obviously not been cleaned in a while. We got in trouble for cleaning our own pottery that we were paying for. The bathroom has no sink. While we were painting the owner wanted to show us a photo of her cat on her phone which would have been alright if she had not demanded that one of our friends stop painting to look at her cat it was such an uncomfortable situation. My friends and i paint pottery pretty frequently and this was the worst spot (both selection wise and customer service wise) we have ever been to. My pottery had bubbles in it after they glazed it and out of all the years i have painted pottery that has never happened before (mind you i am also an artist for a living so i might not be a painting expert but i know enough) they refused to refund me for their mistake. This was also one of the more expensive places we have painted pottery at especially for the service they provide and the selection they had. Would definitely recommend saving yourself the stress and going...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this studio for a few years now and have brought several friends along, as well as visited alone. Every single trip has been super great. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. They’ll make palette or tool recommendations, assist in troubleshooting for painting errors, provide additional refills of paint and brushes whenever asked. I’ve been there for hours on some days and you can see how hard everyone works to make sure that the studio space is presentable and neat.
I visited a couple of paint your own studios prior to choosing this one as my regular ceramic spot. Clay Dreams easily has the best color variety, ceramic stock, friendly and artistic vibes/atmosphere, and they’re all so supportive and welcoming to even the least artistic person. You can tell they really love their little studio, and do everything they can to make it a safe place...
Read moreOne of the rudest encounters I’ve had at any place. I’ve been here to paint a couple times and the lady who owns the place was extremely rude. I arrived to pick up my bowl I had painted the previous week and instead of politely asking to come back another day, she told me to get out because it was adults only (I am 18 years old) and preceded to slam the door in my face saying I was not allowed to be inside her store. Once I made it clear that I was 18 she knew she was in the wrong and changed her tone completely. My friend and I had already paid for our bowls ($40) and her attitude couldn’t have been any more rude. I am never coming back here and suggest you save you money and go to any other place. No business owner should ever treat any customer as such, no...
