I’m not sure what payment these workers get but around 2:50pm I came with friends to look for sunglasses. This Lady (manager or some worker) asked us to leave our bags and shopping bags at the front. I respectfully told her Ok but mind you, She didn't ask any other customers to put their “large backpacks” at the front (I had a tote bag by the way). It felt very discriminating towards us because we were hispanic and they were dark skin. After we left, we came back to find the product we wanted originally that we saw at the front of the store. Read moreI made a purchase today at 8:08 p.m. During my visit, a young African American employee with braces made me feel very uncomfortable. After I had rung up all of my items, she approached me and said, “People get upset with me when I tell them I have to ring everyone up. It’s mainly the Black people who steal so bad in here.”
I responded, “There are just some things you shouldn’t say out loud.” As an African American woman, I found her comment both offensive and inappropriate. I also noticed that while white customers around me were not approached, she specifically targeted myself and another Black man who was shopping at the time.
