Terrible experience shopping here. “Shopping while black” was the crime I committed. I wanted to go to nw but couldn’t find parking decided to come here for the first and last time. I came in about 7:30. I need to use the restroom an employee let me in, I left my cart in the hallway and let her know I’ll be right back please don’t move the cart. When I finish using the rest room my cart was gone. I walk to the front and suddenly there is a security guard he has a cart pushed out which appeared ready for me. I looked at the cart and knew it wasn’t like the previous one I had. I said to him this cart is broke and he says no it’s not it’s just old school. So he pops the front section up. I mentioned this cart doesn’t have a cup holder I had a drink and I’m wondering why they took my cart to replace it with an older one. Why are they treating me like this ? I’m looking at the purses and I see what I like I grab the purse placing it in my cart. Why is the security guard staring me down. I saw a few things. I’m browsing the jewelry and it’s at that moment I realize this cart is way too small. And nothing will really fit. I head to the front and swap my cart out. He’s just looking at me and I continue shopping. I go look at the shoes as soon as I do an employee is now over there attempting to clean up. But just popping his head out at me. While I’m back there guess who yes security is now walking to the back eyes locked in on me. I look at him back and continue shopping. I found a pair ! Ok I’m headed to the clothes to look for some good deals. I remember I want a perfume but this location they’re locked . I see an employee at the case and tell her the scent I’m interested in.. I said excuse me to her 4 x before she even acknowledged me. She takes the perfume out the case and tells me it will be up front and smiles I said ok but I’ve purchased many perfumes from here I just place it in my cart. The store is a mess and clothing sizes are all mixed up messier than Burlington. I takes a while but I found some items. Of course while I’m shopping here comes security. Standing with a girl in the store chit chatting and now he looking me up and down like he has a problem with me. I didn’t feel like trying on clothing so I said what didn’t fit would have to be a return cause I felt so uncomfortable. Before getting in the line around 9:00 pm I see the woman who I believe took my cart and helped me with the perfume. I asked her is my perfume at the front and she said yes. While in line I believe this is the manager she rings me up. She radios someone and ask them to bring up the perfume. It’s the same lady that brings my perfume to the front. Why are you all having discussions about the perfume I’m planning on purchasing, why was it kept else where ? You don’t believe I’m buying so you told her not to bring it to the front ? I’m so confused. The cashier/mgr is being friendly and chatty but it’s too late. Not one time did anybody ask me how I was doing or greet me at all. The way she stuck her head into the shoe I guess assuming something was in the shoe. Then just threw my box away I typically keep shoe boxes. The friendly came after she saw my account with you all. She kept calling me by my first name and I didn’t like it. I look like I’m in my 20’s but I’ll be 36 this years and I felt disrespected. One item didn’t have a tag but i took it up there. It ended up being less than 10.00 so she explains the policy but she’s so loud why does the entire store have to know I have a bargain. Oh because you had your employees follow me around and mug me steal my cart and now not give me my perfume, now you being over friendly and it’s fake. I leave and I don’t even make eye contact with that guard. Mean while a dozen white women stole while you focused your attention on me for a hour and a half. Spent 300.00 don’t have to steal. Stop thinking every young black woman is a thief !! Awful experience ! I hope everyone who played with me Friday night gets treated...
Read moreSo I purchased a few things online on Thursday. Due to a glitch my order went through twist not an issue as I can simply return to my neighborhood Nordstrom Rack store. Order came in on Friday, Saturday I took what I needed to return and asked for a price adjustment as I literally purchased online the night before clear the racks went into effect. I was told by both MICs that unfortunately they don’t do price adjustments, I could have been a complicated customer and asked to return the item & re-purchase right away or just go online re-purchase all those items and return the ones I purchase the night before. The principal is customer service! Eric Nordstrom, will indeed be completely disappointed if he wanted into the pentagon city location. The customer service experience has completely went down the drain in this place over the past two years. It’s rare that you see friendly employees now a days at this location. To say the least, the cashier was completely rude, when I went over to the return station both MICs at the time were working the register, one of them completely denied being a manager & the other one was completely rude by not even acknowledging that a customer needed assistance. These actions were completely against what Nordstrom as a whole stands for! I’m not the one to post reviews but the service experience was just terrible and what makes it worse is the managers response on things. Tyson’s location, you will never receive this kind of customer experience & they honor price adjustments as long as it’s within 14 days. Policy may have changed, which could have been completely explained instead of just pushing away customers. Maybe Nordstrom needs to revaluate their employees or train employees on Nordstrom ethics, these ethics are the reason Nordstrom is where it is today & this kind of repeated behavior will only lead to more online shopping and less employment opportunities like what other retailers are experiencing. At this point, I honestly don’t care for the price adjustment, it would have been a total of $30bucks or so. It’s not going to break my bank but the experience will live on & of course with that frustration I’m going to express my experience with anyone I come across whom may have had a similar experience, word of mouth...
Read moreIt was my first time visiting Nordstrom Rack and I enjoyed the overall experience. Loved the friendly and available customer service experience. I didn’t have to hunt for assistance but people were asking me if I need help. I went in originally to pickup a hat I ordered online but I had to take a look around. I ended up getting a dress shirt that was 50% off for an upcoming wedding in August. I didn’t find a good pair dress pants but I also stopped searching after two racks. No red rack deals for me. I would...
