I have been going the the Petco in Arnold since I was a kid. I have ALWAYS had great customer service except for today. My boyfriend, little brother, and I walked in with the intentions of adopting a kitten. We stood upfront, watching them to decide which one would be the best fit for the cat we have now. After deciding, we went up to an associate named Donna. We asked her if we could hold the kitten. She huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes at us and said we will have to call Karen(the owner of the kittens). So we did. Karen was very pleasant. She asked to speak to Donna. When we told her this she huffed again and shook her head at us. When she got on the phone, she made sure we all knew that she is working on a Saturday when she shouldn't be. And clearly taking her anger out on us with poor customer service. After she talked to Karen, who she was also very snotty to, she rolled her eyes and gave us our phone back. She told us to go talk to Patrick because she isn't dealing with it, and walked away... We dealt with Patrick the rest of the time, and he was awesome and very polite/helpful. After we were done looking at the kitten, we let him know we will be back next week to fill out the paperwork. While we were walking back to our vehicles, we got a call from Karen who was very upset. Donna called her and complained that we were there for 20 minutes, taking her employee away from the store for too long.. Funny, I thought helping a customer is part of the job.. Mind you, we held the kitten for 5 minutes, at 8pm, when the store was practically empty besides one or two customers just browsing around! Obviously we weren't hurting or bothering anyone.. She also lied and told her that we weren't even wanting to adopt the kitten and that we just wanted to hold her.... Which is 100% not the case... After we go back next week to adopt the kitten, unfortunately we will not be returning to that Petco. I have dealt with Donna before, and she was very nice. I understand people have bad days, but that is no reason to treat a customer so poorly. I was disgusted. Hopefully this is seen, so Donna can be shown the right way to treat a customer. Especially ones that did nothing wrong, but look at...
Read moreFirst time taking my puppy to ever get groomed and took her to petco because it was close to home and the only place that had availability sooner but now I see why. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND Britni S. Her personality and attitude towards customers while working is crazy. How can you trust someone like that in care of your fur babies? My appointment was at 9:45AM. We arrived at 9:40 AM. Britni told me that it would take roughly around 3/4 hours. Well, here it is now 2PM and I have not heard anything about my dog Maple here so I head up to the place to see whats going on and she tells me that she hasn’t started her. I’m like okay so do you know how much longer because she told me 3/4 hrs so I based my whole day and schedule around that so that I can pick my dog up on time. She catches an attitude and tells me shes busy and if I want to schedule on a weekday. I told her that I work and am only off on weekends which is why I scheduled today, Sunday. She then proceeds to say then schedule earlier as if 9:45 AM is not early enough when they open at 9AM… whoever is her management needs to seriously have a talk with that girl and I’d gladly appreciate if they reached out to me as well. Because not only did I deal with such a rude worker and terrible service and my dog is more shaved than she should. My dog is also super uneven compared to how I brought her in. They give you 5 options of length and I chose the 2nd to longest on that. She even told me my dog is not matted so there was no reason to go that short. On top of that, her face isn’t even trimmed or cleaned up. You know why though? They finished my dog in 30-40 mins.. but said a service usually takes 3/4 hours.. how does that make sense. Yet, I paid $57.62....
Read moreMy experience with this store hasn't been exactly a pleasant one. I had purchased 2 baby bearded dragons from this store and I had been considering this for a few months. To my surprise, one of my beardies passed away a week later. I assumed that maybe he was the "weakling" of his clutch, because that's how rentitles tend to work. So I returned to the store and asked for another beardie, which was no problem. I was out of the store within 15 mins with a new beardie. I must make note that i had picked the most lively one in the tank, because when I went back to the enclosure with the sales rep there was a beardie that had died in THEIR tank. This new beardie was more active than the one that died and the other one I had purchased, but about a week later it also died. At this point I was frustrated, but still wanted to have 2 dragons so I returned and asked again for another. Again, no problem. This time all the babies in their tank LOOKED healthy. I picked one out and went home again, making sure to pay special attention to this one's behavior. Again extremely lively and even "flaring" a tiny beard every once in a while. About 2 weeks went by and once again, I was left with another dead lizard. At this point I accepted that I still had one live one left, and returned to the store requesting a refund. This time the sales reps were very rude. Today I look into my remaining beardies tank (one of the first ones I had originally purchased) and he has also died. I once again returned to the store and got a second refund and left. I'm extremely disappointed by this experience and am a bit saddened to say that I will never purchase another animal from this store, because they're clearly not well...
