An incredible taste of classic Polish cuisine located in the beautiful Asbury Park!! ✨️

The Zappa food truck caught my eye as I was looking for a solid vegetarian option. I ordered the Italian Zappa.

As I enjoyed some conversation with the server. I asked about Tymbark which they had on display as a classic Polish drink. She told me that there were a lot of funky flavors but that their original flavor was the apple mint, so I decided to add it to my order.

My order was ready in about 10 minutes which wasn't long at all! I was amazed to see the quality and sheer artistic presentation of the Zappa. The bread had the perfect crunch to softness ratio. The bottom layer contained the mushrooms/onions. They followed with a layer of cheese that had just the right amount of stringy and chewy goodness. Finally there was arugula, basil, sundried tomatoes, olives, and capers topped with drizzles of homemade garlic sauce and Polish tomato sauce.

The size of it was great and even though I was completely full I almost couldn't hold myself back from ordering more!!

The drink was so interesting too! It had the taste of a fresh apple juice with a minty aftertaste, and unironically it was a great pairing with the Zappa!!

I spoke to the owner after, letting him know how much I enjoyed both the sandwich and drink. He was very pleased, informing me that it was a drink from his childhood.

This food truck was truly a very special experience. The server and owner were very pleasant and made me feel very welcome.

If you're ever exploring the Asbury Boardwalk and would like to enjoy a traditional Polish experience, just "follow your nose" to find the Zappa...

My husband and I have been eyeing this place and at first I would order only their coffee and it's the best coffee around without the wait. Sceptical to order their zappas because I'm not familiar. A few weeks of stopping for the best coffee around, we finally ordered the classic Zappa and let me just say I wished I didn't wait so long. Wow, wow, and wow. It was so unexpectedly so damn good and cannot wait to come back.

After we finished our classic Zappa, we ordered the Italian to go. We live about 40 mins away and the Zappa was still so crunchy and delish. I don't think I can enjoy another regular pizza after having their zappas.

I also would like to thank the lady and the gentleman behind the counter that takes the orders, what great service. They are always very polite and attentive. I tried the Polish Zappa and was blown away. It was rich, flavorful, and unlike anything I’ve ever had before—absolutely amazing. Every bite felt like a warm hug from a Polish grandmother (even though I’ve never had one!).

What really makes Zappa stand out, beyond the food, is the incredible hospitality. Piotr and his wife are genuinely some of the friendliest people you'll meet. Their warm smiles and welcoming energy add a personal touch that makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.
