Wife went to location for full color and cut. She showed the woman a hair profile that she wanted, which was brunette with beautiful blonde attributes. She came home trying not to cry, her hair was black and kinda green. Funny thing is, her stylist thought she did a good job. SO, I contacted a few friends, one of which used to work at Ulta, and all friends quickly told me about horror stories with coloring. My wife spent the first half of our Saturday spending $160 having her hair ruined, and now I'm spending A Saturday alone writing a review while she's at a much better place getting a correction. Luckily she found a place to fix it before she had to go into work looking like she butchered her hair herself. There goes hundreds of dollars and hours down the drain. Other comments say the staff is clearly not intrested in the customers, it's because they're not. I'm sure they sell things off the shelf just fine, just don't trust them with much skill. Ulta owes my wife $160 bucks for making her hair worse than it was when she walked in, plus gas money to the next salon. They won't be in business much longer anyways. The service they provide isn't for entitled retail workers at a fancy make-up place, like them. They need to understand they are working on customers that have real jobs and are supposed to be professional, so don't mix blonde with green and don't mix brunette with black! $160 bucks for a 3hr...
Read moreThis place is extremely overpriced. You tell them that you want one thing and then they charge for whatever they feel like at the end. It took them literally 5 hours to do my daughter's hair (our appointment was at 5:00 and they were closed before we were finished at 10:00pm). Her style would have taken a regular salon 2-3 hours max! (She was the only one in the chair). Also, it looked NOTHING like the picture that she showed them. I got an all over color and mine is already pretty much washed out after only 2 weeks (even with using their suggested color shampoo). Needless to say, we spent 5 hours and wasted $246 (including the 20% "discount") for something that we could have just went to Wal-Mart and bought boxed dye for. The girls were nice however, which is the ONLY reason I didn't say anything. You would think that going to ULTA would be a better experience given their price list, but honestly, it's not worth it at all. The service isn't any better, their products are sub-par, they aren't any faster, and the "deep conditioning" that is supposed to be included with the shampoo was just regular conditioner that they left on for 30 seconds. Just stick to your regular local salon and save your time and money and get what you asked for. I will...
Read moreGenuinely I absolutely love Ulta. From makeing purchasing what you need and want so obtainable financially. They have a credit card that does not require the perfect credit score and the payments are very reasonable. Yesterday I went in to spend points I had accumulated and they let me spend all $80 worth. I have never been anywhere that allows you to spend them all at once. Finally their prestige brands have been a game changer. I noticed a difference when I went without my Beauty Bio for sure. They have brand ambassadors that are qualified estheticians that you can set an appointment with at the cost of absolutely nothing. You can tell them what your needs are and they will help you find exactly what will help and even reverse damage. Ulta genuinely is a one size fits all place and I am greatful for their always polite and caring staff who will go beyond to help me find...
