Went to store because customer service had talked my 72 year old mother in to trying their mobile service. They ad a long list of step to change her current phone to run in spectrum. She is tech challenged with simple things texting, email, calls, and such. She had to get her current phone unlocked, change the sims card, and activate the phone on spectrum service. AKA way out of her tech skills and family help required. She thought she had it unlocked so first we went to spectrum to help activate. No kidding in and out in 2 minutes flat for the guy to say it not unlocked and sent us back to T-Mobile down the street to get phone unlocked. After attempting to change and paying I believe $45 for something guess what. T-Mobile was more than happy to help figure out how to save her as a customer. Reviewed her bill and found ways to save money, offered her and my step-dad two simple 5g phones on them and answered all her questions and transferred data from both old to new phones. Sales guy stayed two hours after closing to ensure they were happy. That is the difference in a provider and sales team where customer satisfaction matters compared to not my job philosophy...
Read moreI've been to the ashtabula store 6 times in the last year or so and every time I go for some reason the kiosk where you pay your bill is out of service. Now when you go in there you have to take a number. when you get to the desk they ask you if you want to buy there cell service there's been 3 different people that work there I've told I don't want to buy a cell phone I'm here to pay my bill Every time I go in there the kiosk is broke and every time I ask them why the kiosk isn't working they say well you could pay your bill online with a attitude. Don't get an attitude with someone who's trying to pay their bill just because you want to have a 20 minute sales pitch about a cell phone with every single customer ahead of me in line. today the guy argued with me saying the kiosk is broke because people touch the screen to hard. what a joke. Guess you dont make comission on people paying there bill.fix your kiosk i would just pay my bill and get...
Read moreAs far as the internet service provided by Spectrum, all I can say is it's awful. They come on and tell you how good there internet, mobile service is. And once you get sucked in too the idea Boom! Nothing works, the phones they sell. The internet is always slow and doesn't even work for my Mobile device. I have 400 speed and well it runs like 100. I'm very upset with the lies they fill your mind with, and trying to get a hold of these people. Automation, that's what you get for More frustration. Even after connecting with a representative just doesn't get any better. I'll be looking for another Internet provider shortly, it's upsetting because I'm paying for a spectrum phone that doesn't work properly. Wouldn't recommend spectrum on worst enemy....
