The product and store itself is great. We have shopped here multiple times. Sadly, I will not come back to get fitted for or purchase snowboard gear. I hadnât boarded in 20+ years and decided I wanted a full board setup for Xmas. I provided my shoes size, my feet were measured, and I got âfittedâ for a board and boots, etc. As I was trying the boots on, I explained that the boots were too tight. He told me they were not and just told me if he would heat mold them they would be perfect. I could barely get my foot in the left boot. He took the boot heat molded it and explained it was absolutely normal. I explained it was too tight. He said it would form to my foot when boarding and I would be fine. I hesitantly agreed. I fell for it.
I understand that ski and snowboard boots are typically sized one shoe size smaller than your normal size. My everyday size is an 8.5. Unknowingly I was fitted into size 7 boots! 1.5 sizes smaller than my everyday shoe size and 2 sizes smaller than my running shoe size. I had been lead to believe the boots were 7.5 all along. I should have double checked. In hindsight, I believe the sales rep forced me into the boot bc he knew he didnât have my size. He didnât want to lose the sale. Long story short. I tried and tried to board with the boots. They were painful to put on, but I forced them. It became so painful that I ended up in so much pain that I had to walk down from the halfway point of Village Express in Snowmass. It hurt so so bad that I couldnât board. After removing my boot, my big toe was swollen and bruised for days. I have since lost my left big toenail. I had to purchase new boots in the correct size from a competitor. Ironically they are the same boots, but half a...
Read moreManagers Zack and Megan collectively helped me pick out my Ride Trident snowboard boots for close to three hours over three visits. The first visit was quick due to lunch plans, but I got a feeling I would come back right away. I came back two days later and Megan was there to show me all types of boots and bindings. I was pretty positive why I wanted but decided to sleep on it. Zack was there the third time to help me and showed me the Ride but had me check out Vans, two types of Burton Ions (all while another guy came in, saw the boots I planned on getting and bought them on the spot). Zack encourages you to go down a size as boots pack out. I tried on the Ride, two pairs of Ions, and two pairs of Vans at different sizes. I then went back to the Ride and tried on a size smaller and was like," aaah, these are perfect. Wrap them up." I left happy and will refer...
