Had been looking to come for over a year now and buy 4 hats for the 4 of us travelling from Australia. This was a key stop on our U.S tour. It was a busy night last night, so waited in line patiently outside behind the rope chain as requested whilst others finished inside. No dramas there. Once let in we were notified we would be looked after as soon as a current interaction was complete. After the 4 of us were left wandering around the shop waiting for assistance and ready to buy for about 20min, during this time we noticed other customers unlatch the rope and simply come in and receive service with a smile, at times immediately, or within a short period of time. We again asked to be helped but were told we had to wait, even though we pointed out we had been waiting much longer than others. I was looked at like I was idiot for even raising this issue by one of the young ladies.
Whilst we didn't look like the 'stereotypical' clientele, we were in there to purchase at least 4 hats and potentially other items as well. In the end after sitting and waiting longer again, we just left clearly unnoticed and hugely disappointed coming so far and getting so little from a company that pushes their "experience" as one of the cornerstones of their business. I guess not everybody's experience is deemed equal.
If you don't suit their image or don't have a big enough social media profile you wont get a look in service wise if it is remotely busy. Alternatively, go at a less busy time when the young sales wranglers (their words) are standing around and therefore must acknowledge you and provide some level of...
Read moreDisappointing is an understatement. I bought nearly a $1,400 hat from this location on Labor Day. I was told the beaver would hold up a lot better than the rabbit (which, I have a rabbit one already and it's held up incredible). I wore this hat only a few times until it fell apart, and that is not an exaggeration. I was told it can get a little wet. I went to a concert where it was drizzling, and it completely lost it's shape, it shrunk on me, the $200 leather band fell off (didn't realize it until after I got home), and it bled all over the hat. I went back to the Aspen location to see if I can get it fixed, and not only was I completely ignored, I was told that there was nothing they can do to help. They tried to reshape the hat, but it didn't do a damn thing. They then tossed on a little "glittered" band to try and rectify it. Because I am not a Kardashian, Kyle Richards, or someone of fame or money, they literally did not give 2 craps about helping an average person like myself. THANKFULLY, I went to the Vail location and one of the reps there was an actual angel and took the time to bring it back to life and rectify the wrong that this location did. Shame on all of the workers there, especially the manager who said their "policy is there is nothing they can do"... I would never go back and waste my time, and neither should you. The very first picture is when I first got it. The rest, well, that is...
Read moreGot into Aspen early tonight with my husband and decided that our 1st stop would be Kemo Sabe. We’ve been to Aspen in years past, but I decided this would finally be the year I’d customize and purchase a hat. I completely recognize it’s peak season here in Aspen, so we had no problem waiting on line to get in beforehand as I was very excited for this experience. The gentleman at door was also very kind and friendly, so no complaints there either. After about an hour of waiting to get inside from the cold, we finally went in and we were completely ignored once inside.
We walked around browsing the store for about 20-25 minutes and no one said a word to us whatsoever. We ended up leaving as we had a dinner reservation that we were fully prepared to delay even, so I could customize and purchase a hat but with getting fully ignored, we decided to leave and didn’t even get the opportunity to purchase anything. After being excited about this for awhile, it was a really disappointing experience and put a bit of a damper on our 1st night here in town as time felt a bit wasted. The hats are all beautiful, just bummed to have not been able to get one despite...
