My experience with Ballard Design for the past two and a half years has been shockingly disappointing and horrible. After many purchases there were multiple problems with the actual pieces and always a significant delay and complete lack of communication regarding delivery. Examples of this are the delivery of a broken stained sofa that was a floor model even though I paid full price for a new sofa, chairs were delivered without notification and were left outside for two days with noone home to accept this delivery , my custom upholstered bed was delivered with the wrong upholstery and color The replacement bed with the correct upholstery took a year and a 7 months to be replaced and delivered defective on the upholstered headboard seams and the actual construction of the frame on each side More than three times the store members and manager Jodi Harris did not update my new address and I had to spend hours coordinating with the shipper, then delivery vendor to make sure they had the correct address. I have spent many hours of my time in coordinating my purchases, delivery, and correction of my defective pieces. Customer service including the lead of guest services whose name is Brendan Flanigan have not been supportive and have stopped replying to my emails There is no succinct contact for Ballard corporate and I have tried to reach out to the President of Ballard Designs Karen Mooney on Linked In without any successful correspondence or her reply to my message I am presently still with my defective bed and awaiting a call/email from a "Sharonda" and it has been over three weeks and still waiting Brendan Flanigan, the "leader of guest services" will not get back to me after months of ineffective communication This is total disconcern and disrespect for me as a client
I am now appealing to David Rawlinson 11 the President and Chief Executive of Qurate Retail Inc in which Ballard Designs falls under to command assistance with a resolution for my ordeal.
Fair warning: Do not purchase your furniture from Ballard Designs. Noone does their job at Ballard Designs Noone pays attention to details concerning your purchase and delivery. Customer service is non existent and dreadful Communication is absent. The Ballard Designs team and customer service is void of basic honesty , transparency and any respect to their customers.

Read moreBecause Ballard is based in Atlanta, I am writing this review for the location there. I live in SC and ordered the Shiloh Spin Chair last Fall. When delivered this past November, the delivery driver backed into my husband's parked car, in our driveway. Despite my husband's and my best efforts to follow the process to get his car repaired, including filing claims with the delivery company's insurance (the delivery company refused to communicate about the claim), his car is still damaged and Ballard has made NO effort to amend this accident. I lived 30 years in Atlanta and have loved Ballard since the early 90's but now am beyond disappointed in the company. Sadly, they have proven the customer does not ever come first. I will not recommend them to anyone again and will always encourage my friends and family to shop elsewhere. ADDITION: Ballard employees are very well trained to say the right things to help alleviate the customers frustrations but that Ballard is ALL talk and NO action. We have been ghosted by every Ballard and Cornerstone Brands employee we have talked to trying to resolve this situation. I have emailed Ballard social as requested in their response to me but do not expect to hear from anyone again. Read moreUpdate: The person who reached out to me after I wrote this review was just as unhelpful as the rest of the customer service agents have been. My furniture is on a Ballard truck, and yet they are unable to give me any details beyond their standard line that "It takes 14-21 days AFTER it shipped". It shipped two weeks after I placed the order, so the total time for this to get from their warehouse to me, is going to be between 5 and 6 weeks. That is ridiculous, and nowhere does it indicate you will wait a month and a half when you are placing the order online.
I ordered some items online, and had them shipped to the store because it was free shipping. On the website it said it usually takes 10-15 days for delivery. It has now been almost a month, I’ve had 5 calls with customer service, and they have no information. Several times they promised it will ship the same day, and it didn’t ship for another week. Now According to what they are telling me, it has been on a truck from Ohio to Atlanta for 14 days. When I called the store to ask if it has actually arrived, the woman was very rude. I so wish that I didn't already have some pieces from them that I need to match. I would love to cancel this order!! I think they have cute stuff, but it's not...
