My mother and I came here over 6 years ago upon visiting family for the holidays. We both received sew-ins with hair left out. I can't recall anything from the interaction other than the overwhelming pain that followed the next three days and the minor traction alopecia at the center of my scalp after all these years. My hair is natural and waist length.(4B, never received a relaxer/perm, I was 15 at the time and my mother religiously does my hair for me) For a point of reference, my natural hair is longer than the 22in tracks they gave me. The sew-in I received was to serve as a protective style during the holidays. The person who braided my hair is going to hell. (I'd say technician but I can't recall who it was and she shouldn't be licensed given her terrible work ethic). Upon writing the review and jogging my memory, I believe it was the owner. Never have I experienced braiding similar to what this person did. My hair was braided so tightly that my eyelids were snatched back. No hyperbole. If I laughed or emoted my face, my edges were stressed and I felt an intense stinging sensation around the frame of my face. Three days following my installation; where I am still enduring the slow and sadistic pulling of my hair out of scalp from the tight braids... -I'd scratch my scalp starting where my original hair was left out, only to find dried blood and crusted over lymphatic discharge under my nails. This continued a full ten days following my installation until my hair began to grow and relieve the tension from my scalp. At the end of all this, the owner had the audacity to take a picture of me and post it to her Facebook. "Well, why'd your mother let you keep the sew-in on?" By the time the owner finished the braids, the damage that was done wouldn't be reversed. The investment was made and I didn't die. (Over $800.00USD for hair and service) There's likely no statue of limitations after 7 years but if my mother and I had known better, we'd have sued. (The alopecia I have is minor and next to negligible but I know it's there and that causes me discomfort when I do my hair.) So, TL;DR Don't go here. They'll rip your hair out. At least I can say, they didn't do as much damage as they tried to do. Upon finding the picture from their Facebook, I can definitively say; It's apparent my body went through trauma at this salon. My face is swollen and my eyes are pulled back.

I decided last minute to get my hair done while visiting family and googled some places, unfortunately this was the only one that had ā€œavailabilityā€ for walk-ins. I was there for almost 7 hours. First thing was that I was told by the braider that I would be charged 89 then one of the stylists told her I needed the 139 package then also told her I needed to be charged extra 25 because my hair is thick and I needed 15 braids instead of 8 which I receive 8 braids. I was also charged for my extra bundles which I was fine with but I also told Brittany don’t feel like you need to use all the bundles I just brought extra just in case. Brittany, the one who did my hair did a completely terrible job. I wanted to be able to pull my hair back into a ponytail which I showed her a TikTok of how I wanted it and it’s a style I usually get when I have a sew in and I’ve never had an issue like the one I had here. She sewed a long noticeable side part that that showed the tracks all the way to the back of my head. She also sewed some of my leave out in with the sew in that I had to cut out because it caused a welt in my scalp. I contacted them via text because no one answers the phone there and told whomever I was speaking too that my hair was messed up and I paid almost $300 to be walking around looking crazy. I was flying back home that night and I ended up taking that ugly hair style out. I lost a lot my hair when cutting it out because she used a very thin thread that was hard to see. She wouldn’t offer me a refund only said I had to come back in that day which I told her I couldn’t because I was flying out that day then she stopped responding to me. Very unprofessional.

I decided to try them out for a sew in after a friend has great luck with them 3x. I will say all of the staff members were extremely welcoming and polite. They answered all questions and offered refreshments. The shop was very clean and organized in their process. The prices are ok compared to a 200$ sew in with a normal stylist. However, I am not sure I will return. Corona did my sew in and it is lumpy. When she flipped the tracks she did not do a great job of laying them flat. I have had a sew in several times with my tracks flipped and it has not been so lumpy. I even paid a extra $29 for this service so they would not clip my tracks. I also paid an extra 12 for a circular braid pattern which should have been flatter and it seemed it was until after the hair was sew in I realized it is even lumpy in the middle. I paid the extra 12 for the circular braid patter due to having a lot of long and Thick hair when blow dried. I when my leave out was flat ironed well nor blended with the weave hair well at all. I had to go home and work it out myself. I would say you pretty much get what you pay for. I think the quality here is going to be hit or miss just depending on what stylist you have. Lastly, the stylist combed through the natural curls of my weave hair so much it was frizzy. I could not wear the natural curls of the weave after I got home it looked horrible. I had iron out the entire thing and do big body curls on my own. They also gave conflicting information on prices when I called vs. when I texted. I was told they charge you 29 to bring your own hair then via text I was told no charge to bring your own hair. They are also open on Sundays 12-5 which is not on their website. Overall I spent 120. I rather just spend the 170-200 for a full quality job with a experienced and quality stylist. Everything is Ć  la carte. When they sew in your hair they will iron it out and blend your hair but if you want some Big curls you have to pay another 29$. If you want more than 2 bundles its another 29$ so just keep that in mind if you decided to have your hair done here. There are just some things you cant cut corners on and this is one of...
