I bought an olive oil here, opened it, drank some, tasted just fine, drank some the following day and it tasted like just the worst stuff ever, it burnt my throat and was like a gross gross flavor. I called and was told I could absolutely return it/ refund, when I came in the manager (Roxanne) absolutely embarrassed me, rather then just stating "we can't give you a refund sorry for you experience with this product" she said "* there's nothing wrong with this, smells just like my oil at home, it isn't rancid" she made it seem like I was lying or being dishonest about my experience. I felt embarrassed by her comments about my REAL experience with this product changing Extreme flavor changes. She honesty makes me not want to ever go back in this store, her other employer whom I asked ' is it supposed to taste like this" explained perfectly that it is possible it oxidized and the flavors changed and became more bitter. I do not want anyone to be treated like this ever, BUYER BEWARE you may be embarrassed and told your bad experience with one of their Products isn't reality and that the product is fine it'll make you feel like a lair when you have a good reason to...
Read moreSunrise Natural Foods is still my favorite place to shop for vitamins, supplements, and muscle recovery lotions. The store inventory is huge with various brands, all top notch. The inventory is fresh as well. Meaning no expired products on the shelf. Super clean and well organized shop. There are two Sunrise Natural Foods. One is in Roseville and the other is this one, in Auburn.
The staff here is engaging but not overly intrusive. The current staff does a walk about asking everyone if they have they need assistance. If one person doesn't know, they will get a coworker that can provide additional information.
The shop also carries small but mighty inventory of grocery staples, fresh produce, prepackaged local meats (beef, pork, and chicken), water filling station, makeup, and local made soap.
Another thing to note is that they discontinued their purchase punch cards . But will honor ones that have not been redeemed yet. Not sure for how long, so...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years. Over the last several months I’ve been repeatedly disappointed by the way the store is operated. First, the customer punch cards were discontinued and the monthly coupon in the newspaper disappeared. Then many of the long-time employees left. Some of the new product consultants and even the store manager seem intent on selling high dollar items, even if the customer didn’t ask about any such item. My family and I have noticed a shift from concern for the customer’s health issues to the Sunrise employee’s need to tell stories about their own health and the miracle cures they experienced from products which just happen to be sold in the store. We’ve also noticed the return policy has changed. Even if you have a negative physical reaction to a product, they will not allow a return, even for a store credit. It’s no longer pleasant...
