Child Support Services — Local services in Aurora

Some of the reviews make me think more comprehensive assistance would be helpful to the reviewers. However, when reviewing not a business, but a government entity, where the choice is not to go elsewhere, but to ask for help or not, not sure what the point of reviewing would be since the motivation to change is not there for our government. My personal experience: when placing calls, there was wait and sometimes connection issues, but ultimately could connect without excessive wait of other government entities. Workers were courteous and civil. TANF is handled by a different agency, so my remaining issue was collection of out of state child support. For 2 dependents, one 11, another 21 but disabled with court-ordered support, I got the oldest excluded from the collection process altogether. The youngest took 1 year 11 month with me locating the father who does not feel he needs to notify me of his address officially. Or of any other changes to his household that could impact child support. The case was not moving anywhere even after I located his residence and his employer, and submitted that information. The case was filed after 1 year 6 months or so in Illinois, then had to be refiled because father built a mansion in an adjacent county. In the end, I submitted paperwork to the unit, the case was tried in Illinois with an attorney paid for by the state of Colorado. At no point I could participate in the collection process directly. And in the court hearings. Father had paid an attorney to represent him to reduce the support - why else? So, got a college student on a National Merit scholarship with most expenses paid, who is now 19, as an exemption. Plus I have no idea how many part-time jobs he's on are not reported. And I am certain I was not credited for having a disabled older dependent. And now any questions I may have about the case require legal training and I am referred to the social workers to handle what they are not trained to do. The oldest still has been denied proper child support collection not only through this office, but also through the Arapahoe County court. So - if you require government assistance, unable to shell out $350-$400 an hour for an attorney, you are ... And the both exs already bled our family dry with their family issues in another state (at least $100K for me charged, not able to pay the entire amount), for a different review. Not sure what the sections of the government I described are for, but sure not for us so far. Especially the child support collection. There was no backpay to the time of filing either. Something changed somewhere I was told....

Come one, come all, ye poor ole' white folk! Come and get your kids sold off to the highest bidder! Your kids will get taken while the kids that really need help will go unheard and die due to neglect and abuse! Don't let your children in their sight, lest ye want to lose your children and fill their pockets!

Lest ye have enough shillings to pay your way, you will not be heard, even then this will be quite the battle once they have eyes set on your beautiful aryan children. If you do not, they will make the battle long and finally stick the knife in your heart X3, leave you for dead and ruin your family's reputation. Oh yes, they will do this to other races too if the market is up but there's not as big of one so most of you are safe, but still take heed! They are also somewhat scared of the other races as they can pull the discrimination card and Sue them! Do so, if they take yours if you are not white because if you don't, you would wish you did if you did not deserve the tears and heart break they have spat upon your family. You have a get out of jail free card, so use it and get a lawyer asap.

They work under the guise of 'working in your children's best interest', but do not believe their lies. They are hiding behind a mask and really just looking for cute white kids for their adoption agency. They are the lion pretending to be the rabbit.

Oh yes, God will take judgement as it states in the bible, ye who judges will be judged three fold! They will crumble one day and the souls they have scarred will be liberated.

If this has happened to you, keep faith my brothers and sisters, for they are wrong and have already caused a rift. God already knows and is working on justice. Know that you are a good person and didnt deserve this. If you plan on having another child in the future, make sure it's far away from this horrid place and read your rights as they threaten if you have another, they will take that one too and the case will be open and shut as soon as the precious baby comes out of your womb. If you truly were innocent and your children were ripped from you, they are at least safe, have everything they could ever want and will get a good education and hopefully come looking for you one day so do not take your life even though it is hard not to do so. Trust me, I almost did, but that is what they want. Know I have been there and I feel for each and every one of you, no matter what back ground you have come from.

If you did deserve this then, all I have to say is change lest ye be thrown into the pits of hell...

Understand that Arapahoe County Human Services Department and their workers are not by any means legal aide or advice. They can only help through process of child support, food stamps, tanf, etc. They are not aware of rights, standards, polices and procdures. They do not have training in those areas. You have to understand who you are dealing with. When dealing with others who are unaware of your rights you need to document and seek attorney advice or help from the court. Documation is you best bet to protect yourself and your right as a customer. This is a customer service based enviroment. Although they are an enitiy of the goverment they still have ti follow the same practices as other business. They still have to follow laws and civil rights of others. They are not above any laws and they can not punish people within in this customer service system. When ever dealing with child support go through courts and get an order. No one can go after any money or payment without an court order by a judge. If they are setting up child support make sure they put it to the courts. Yes, you have to show up and see a judge. They can only help you through the process, but they are not the court system. If you have problems with other services read your paperwork on appeal process to get seen before the courts. Dealing with this department can seem like a second job just to help you probably deserve. After you acommplish all of this you really find out you can do it for your self without there involvement. Protect your kids first. When you deal with Arapahoe County Human Services Department that is the first thing they will come after. Make sure your children are well protected by you, your school and local law enforcement. Get to know those teachers and officers at the school. When dealing with this department they will be your saving grace. School and Law enforcement does care about you and your child. They understand the parent/child bond. Arapahoe County Human Services and their staff does NOT. Hope this help. In the end we are the communtiy they should be supporting.
