I am a Cheba Hut addict. Their subs are AMAZING!! With that said unfortunately I have not had a good experience with this new location on Alameda. I first went to this location on opening day Monday July 12th and gave them another shot today. During both visits my sub was made incorrectly and I had a long wait to get my food. This location is across the street from me and super convenient but the Central Park location is only 12 minutes from me and they have always gotten my order out quick, correct, and the staff is always really nice and upbeat. Hopefully this new location will improve soon if not I’ll just start going back to the Central Park location. Monday July 12th: • Ordered at the counter • Cashier really needed more training. She didn’t know how to use their ordering system, didn’t know where any buttons were, kept ringing things up incorrectly and the girl who appeared to be her trainer standing behind her was to busy looking around and talking to her co-workers instead of helping the cashier so she ended up asking someone else for help. I had to tell the cashier what we wanted at least 5 times before she got it entered correctly. • Wait time was very long and there weren’t a lot of people waiting for food. • When we got home there was honey mustard on my sub instead of only on the side like I had asked for multiple times. Today Friday July 16th: • Ordered on app • Arrived to the expediter telling me she would have to charge me for the side of honey mustard when it already comes on the sub I ordered, and I asked for it on the side. She apologized saying they just opened and had it remade since they made the sub with the honey mustard on it. • Out of the blue Kool-Aid. Sad that they are out and haven’t even been open a week. The subs are still awesome and although I appreciate my order being remade correctly it is frustrating that this is now the second time we had an issue and the ticket was correct, just made wrong. I don’t believe that being a new location and just opening is an excuse. I feel that the staff here still needs some more training and they need to slow down and make sure the tickets are being read and made correctly.

I’ve never been to or heard of this sandwich chain, so I asked the cashier if weed was baked in the bread. He said “the only thing baked with weed might be some of the employees.” 🤷‍♂️😂 It was really good. The sandwiches kind of reminded me of the old Quizno Subs chain. Bread was light and moist. All the meat and toppings were high quality. Store was very clean and the bathroom was too. Service was fast and everyone was super helpful and kind. They even had 3 variety’s of Kool Aid to drink! That probably blew my mind more than anything. And when I searched for more information on this chain, I found out there’s one 20 mins from my house back in Nashville! I guess I’m not actively searching for or using Cheba so I just never knew. But now I know, and thankfully the only thing baked after eating the sandwich is the appetite.

Cheba Hut always a clutch sandwich shop. This location has a great local vibe, everyone was super nice. Here’s what we ordered: Kali Mist on garlic bread( no bacon, extra cream cheese) French Onion soup Gin n Juice Sandwich was delicious. I’ve been eye balling the garlic bread for years and finally got it, but it was little overrated imho. FYA - You always have to get a side of their hot sauce for dipping! The soup was surprisingly really good. Drinks were great as well, a good price too. Finally, the mural inside is super sick, a a nice shout out to a lot black artists and retro characters. Overall, we really enjoyed our time eating in at the Cheba Hut site and plan to come by again.

Went in with my girlfriend last night and immediately got greeted by one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever seen an employee have. My girlfriend has a disability and she is hard of hearing so when the employee was asking questions under his breath about our order she repeatedly had to ask him to repeat himself because she couldn’t hear him. It finally go to the point where he started talking to her like she was a mentally challenged child due to the fact that she couldn’t hear him, (these are grown men by the way.) After I asked what his problem was, he rolled his eyes and scoffed at us and proceeded to have a volatile attitude with us. Another male employee who was standing right by him started laughing at us and shaking his head as if we were’t there spending our hard earned money at their establishment. As I’m walking back to my table I’m shaking my head in disbelief of the treatment we’ve been enduring, and finally the same guy looks at me across the restaurant and asks me “do you have a problem?” We then tried calling the store to talk to a manager and got hung up on every single time. This is bar none the most unprofessional and volatile experience I’ve ever had at an establishment at my entire life. If you come here with a disability you WILL be...

I recently had an amazing experience at Cheba Hut that left me thoroughly impressed. As soon as I stepped inside, the vibrant atmosphere and unique decor captured my attention. The reggae-inspired art and upbeat music created a laid-back vibe that made me feel right at home.

The menu is a fun twist on classic sandwiches, featuring a wide variety of options named after different strains of cannabis. I opted for the “Maui Wowie,” a delicious combination of turkey, avocado, and fresh veggies. The bread was perfectly toasted, and each bite was bursting with flavor. I also couldn't resist trying their crispy fries, which were seasoned to perfection and addictively good.

The staff at Cheba Hut were incredibly friendly and attentive, making my experience even better. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. My order was prepared quickly, and I appreciated the casual yet efficient service.

To top it all off, I enjoyed a refreshing drink from their selection, which complemented my meal perfectly. Overall, my visit to Cheba Hut was fantastic. The combination of delicious food, a fun atmosphere, and excellent service makes it a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a unique dining experience. I can't...
