Located on the other end of the Catalina pier. There's three ice cream shops, this is the one you want to experience.

Forget the generic, mass-produced frozen desserts; this is real ice cream, made with a smooth texture and experiential ingredients that dance well together.

Walking in, you’re met with a fun, airy vibe that makes you feel like a kid again. The playful menu is filled with creative, laugh-out-loud flavor names that make choosing a scoop half the fun. And the best part? Tasters are encouraged, so you get to explore before committing.

My personal favorite?

"Exhausted Parent"—a bourbon-infused masterpiece. I don’t like bourbon, but in ice cream.. Absolute perfection. The balance of flavors is spot on and indulgent. Like a good rum cake. This parent went from exhausted to elated.

When you're on the island, Sailor’s Delight, is a must. Not maybe. Not next time.

I was very enthusiastic to try Scoops ice cream. From the outside, it appears very authentic with a cute sign and logo. Upon entering the premises, we encountered a freezer full of “gelato” of which I was very skeptical of the quality because I have been spoiled with Bacio di Latte, the most amazing gelato I’ve ever encountered in Los Angeles. We were not allowed to taste or sample any of the ice creams. Unfortunately, we then had to go with our gut feeling which was to get the salted pretzel stracciatella and Nutella hazelnut. Upon tasting this “gelato” we recognized that the texture was almost gooey and stretchy with ice crystals forming which led to a very strange taste and texture in our mouths. I do not consider this to be classic, authentic gelato. We only ate half of our ice cream, ultimately. Tonight we will be trying Sailor’s Delight. Check back...

BEST ICE CREAM ON THE ENTIRE ISLAND!! i tried all the ice cream places in catalina and the best overall is definitely this one, they have so many different flavors. only went there once and got munchie madness which was amazing!!!! employees are so so sweet even if they’re busy they still make sure to take care of each one of their customers you can tell they truly care. they even give out pup cups for dogs and take a picture of them to add to their wall! luckily my dog was able to make it up on the wall. the shop is kinda small but it’s honestly more of a to go thing rather than a sit down and eat. i really do appreciate the employees because they truly do make customer satisfaction their number...
