I've had several projects quilted here, but unfortunately, I will not be using their services anymore. The images are two that were recently quilted. As you can see, the (blue quilt)back was not placed square on the machine, and as a result, it is off by an inch or so when it was trimmed (by the store employee). I was told (both owners) that I should have been more specific about centering, and they "don't do many pieced backings"... what? I'm not the professional quilter, but common sense should prevail ...I left large margins for them square the back. The grey quilt was trimmed unevenly and NOT with a straight edge as they said...you can see the the cut is not straight and it has an obvious scissor gouge. On examination and discussion with the owners, I was told they measure from the inside border and use that continuous measurement to trim. It was off by 1/4 inch. It still doesn't account for the serious gouge. They trimmed off the discrepancy. Upon binding, I saw the machine quilting had bunched up and pulled the fabric, which would account for the difference. Each of these projects have very special sentiment. Each quilt incorporates a piece of Japanese silk passed down to my mother, who recently passed; the quilts are being made for each of her grandchildren. Both quilts will be gifted , but I am so disappointed in the quilters, for what I feel is a lack of accountability. Their resolve was to offer...
Read moreWas very unhappy with the machine. It does not work well at all. Was told it was all me that the machine was fine and I just needed lessons. If the machine required lessons to be successful, I should have been told that when I picked it up but instead I was told. Good luck and thank you and barely that offering to give me lessons on how to operate the machine properly after I'm frustrated with it and I'm convinced I'm never going to like it was not helpful. I read the manual from front to back the entire manual. Yes, the entire manual to make sure that I operated it correctly because it was different than anything I'd ever had. In my opinion it's just not a quality machine. And for $450 it should be pretty darn good it's frustrating as all of this is eating. The $50 restocking fee doesn't make me happy either. However, I did choose to do that. I would rather lose some money than be stuck with a sewing machine and I...
Read moreLove this store and all the people there. Katie has been a phenomenal help! I had no idea how to sew. I took a few classes and then ran with the knowledge they provided. Throughout my projects the staff has been extremely helpful in teaching and guiding. I cant say enough good about Katie and the crew at Love It Sew. Excited to take on new classes and learn new sewing stuff! They've even been able to fix my sewing machine a few times due to beginner user error. Love love...
