La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Avon

Thought I already reviewed this restaurant. Wad invited by my family a few days after my husband died. They thought it would be good to be with family and go to one of my favorite and familiar restaurants. They were right. I got one of my favorite dishes....a shredded chicken chimichanga with an extra side order of their excellent guacamole, refried beans and rice. It was great as usual, as were the 2 large margaritas. Probably shouldn't have ordered 2 of them, but what the he** in hindsight just what the doctor ordered! MY brother-in- law Paul got some delicious shrimp fajitas and 2 margaritas also! The rest of the family ordered soft tacos, enchiladas and chicken fajitas. The food and the service was great. The staff know us as family as it is one of our fave places. It was also my little sister's favorite places. But whether they know you or it's your first visit, they treat you like family and I love their food. Never had a bad meal and it's so festive, welcoming and the prices are...

Very Busy Place I went on a Friday evening and this place was packed. It's a nice size place with a lot of room and people were waiting all over the place to be seated. Somehiw it did not take too long to get seated and our order arrived quickly. All of us enjoyed our meals (burritos, tacos, and enchiladas for meals and queso as an appetizer) except the one who got the taco salad. She said the meat was cold and did not enjoy it. Because of that and the lack of drink refills, I only gave them four stars. Something to keep in mind: the one who had the taco salad has been here several times and it is one of her favorite restaurants and intends to dine here again. Also, for iced tea drinkers who are used to brewed tea, stick with water. They do serve tra here but it tasted like it came from...

Excellente!! Husband ordered taco salad... it was giant, beans, beef, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, guacamole Sour cream, cheese... he ate it all...even the entire shell! I had bean burro with red enchilada sauce (,soooo good, not hot spicy. Very flavorful) and a chicken taco. The chicken was plentiful, full of flavor wrapped in lightly 2 cooked corn tortillas!!! I spread the enchilada sauce on the taco... whoa!!! So good. Hot chips and wonderful salsa. Our server "Senor Francisco", is friendly, quick, and very attentive! The atmosphere is very colorful and genuine Mexican.. you feel like you're on a mini vacation in...
