I recently had the pleasure (and slight pain, ha) of experiencing a Brazilian bikini wax at Northstar Beauty Bar with Nikki.

First and foremost, the studio is super clean and Nikki is incredibly friendly and professional. She made me feel comfortable and at ease from the moment I walked in the door, which is always a plus when it comes to something as intimate as a Brazilian wax.

The actual waxing process was much quicker than I had anticipated. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast Nikki worked. Of course, it wasn't exactly a painless experience, but it was bearable. The wax was nice and warm and glided on easily, and I was able to breathe through the more sensitive areas. Nikki is extremely efficient and skilled, which helped to minimize the discomfort, and it was totally worth it for the absolutely fantastic end result! Everything was perfectly smooth, just as I had hoped. And the best part? The results lasted for weeks, which is a huge bonus.

It was the most relaxing experience! If you want to pamper yourself just make an appointment with Jenn. She makes you feel so comfortable from the minute you arrive. As you enter the bar it is like you are walking into a friend's house. I had never had a facial before and she walked me through each step of the process. She thinks of every detail down to taking your shoes off to make you feel more comfortable. Then she let me get under the blanket so that I could be totally relaxed and warm! The process was so comfortable and nourishing. My face looks and feels better than it has in years. I feel so relaxed and calm. She also explains the science behind the process so it makes me feel like I did something good for my body while I also relaxed and pampered myself. She is extremely knowledgeable and capable. She makes you feel very secure, like you're in good hands. It is clear she has tons of experience. As she is working on the treatment her hands and demeanor are so sure but so calming at the same time. As a woman in my fifties if I don't pamper myself now - when will I? My facial was relaxing! She made me feel so comfortable and was so nice! My issue was the the products used they felt soo heavy, I know she didn’t pack it on either. I just didn’t think it worked well together, I was really sad that my face didn’t feel super fresh light and clean when I left. I experienced that the products were incompatible and didn’t absorb well or fast enough so I had product peeling going on I actually had to take a face wipe to my face. The price was also a bit shocking, I’ve had a professional facial before at Med Spa in Westlake and it cost under $100 here it was over $100. I have nothing against my esthetician she was super wonderful at her job. My Review is strictly against the products used here. I hope this helps and directs a little bit of change and maybe introducing different products. Who knows maybe it was just my skin?! But having another facial to compare it to helped...
