Me and my bestie decided to have a date night! Did a little shopping and then headed for Strip Steakhouse for our 4:15 reservation. I loved the rustic, old barn look of the outside of the restaurant. When you enter, the have cool doors and other decor. The bar is to the left and the hostess is to the right. We arrived about 15 minutes early but they seated us. I like the floors and the walls are decorated with odd things that work together. They also have upstairs seating. While the place is rather small but the tables are spaced apart and you don’t feel like you’re seating on top of each other. The waiter Mike was wonderful!! He was very attractive, personable, friendly, and made us feel like we’re known him forever. While I love porterhouse steak, i wasn’t sure if I wanted the big one offered… it’s 24oz and it’s called the “Big Daddy”. They had a strip steak which was which I was thinking about ordering. After talking with Mike, I was old on the Bid Daddy, medium well with mushrooms / onions, rubbed with sea salt and garlic butter. I also order the mac n cheese, which is enough for two! I order the Cesar salad with their version of Cesar dressing and it was on point!! I’m not a crouton fan but the actually had homemade croutons! They were delicious and complimented the salad and dressing well. My friend ordered basically the same except for the stuffed baked potato. The baked potato was huge and stuffed! They also served pretzel bread sticks with peanut butter and another sauce. I asked for yellow mustard but they didn’t have any. So Mike mixed German mustard and butter together. It was good with the pretzels. The steak was grilled to perfection!! I have to say, I’ve been to many top steakhouses around the country and the Big Daddy beats them all!! The garlic meld with the sea salt and other seasons were amazing. I also noticed when we sat down, there were no salt /pepper shakers. I thought that always strange until I tasted my food! It was seasoned so well, we didn’t need any condiments. The steak was so tender it reminded me of butter. When I cut into the filet, it was so very tender. I then cut on the other side and it was tender too! The mac n cheese made with Gruyère cheese was the bomb!! I did ask for A1 but really didn’t need it. The mushrooms and onions were also good. It was such a huge meal, I took my salad, steak, and mac n cheese home! I was to stuffed to entertain desert. If you’re looking for simple, delicious and a satisfying meal and where the staff smiles and really looks like they enjoy working there, you must...
Read moreI can't say enough good stuff about this place. Staff was top-notch . Our experience started with Andrew opening the door and greeting us . Our table was not quite ready yet, so Andrew found us a nice seat at the bar where we were able to get drinks while waiting for our table . Andrew will assist you with ANYTHING you may need. While at the bar, we met Carl AWESOME GUY ,CARL appreciates good bourbon like I do and makes good drinks as well. The bar has a very good selection of bourbon for bourbon lovers , not listed on the menu was ( Little Book ) one of my favorites, which I drank there. When are seats were ready, Andrew catered us upstairs to our seats ( Perfect seats ) overlooking the floor below . Then came Cory our waiter ☆☆☆☆☆ If you eat at the resteraunt I recommend you ask for Cory ,he was EXELLENT ! I'm sure the other waiters are very good as well ,as you could see they were all professional. OK THE MEAL ☆☆☆☆☆ What could I say OUTSTANDING ! Best steak I ever had in my life ( me and my gal both had the filet ) Cory recommended a different little more expensive steak that He said is even better than the filet I could barely imagine better. [ That will be for next time I go back ] During the meal Walter the Manager stopped to say hello and make sure everything was good. Make sure to say hello to Walter, very nice gentlemen. I recommend their wines as well , the cabernet Cory suggested went EXELLENT with my steak. I chose pierogi s for my side ( Yes, you could get perogies there ) and cabbage & noodles . The perogies were the BEST I ever have eaten . We both had salads that were good, and they didn't put too much dressing on the salads like some places do. Strip Steakhouse also offered something different, which I loved instead of bread they gave you soft pretzel sticks mmmmmmm good ! Last Cory came out with a birthday cake for my birthday . Very nice. I did not finish all the food we ordered and had a second AWESOME meal at home with the leftovers the next day . Thank you, Strip Steakhouse staff , keep up the great work and kudos to the cooks . People, this is by far one of the best...
Read moreI’ve been to the Strip with my family before, but it had been some years, as I live outside the country and am only home once a year, at the most. The food was delicious, as per usual, but when we arrived, we were escorted towards the stairs, even though I had specified when making the reservation that one person in our party was unable to go up the stairs. When I made the staff aware of this, the person who acted like they were in charge of the hosts said that we couldn’t sit at the empty table on the ground floor because someone else from that could not go upstairs. They reacted defensively and told me that I could look in the system to verify that there was no specification that we could not sit upstairs, even though I had been asked specifically upon making the reservations two days prior and had been very clear that we could not sit upstairs. In the end, we were offered a seat at a high top, and about a half hour later, the head host came over to apologize for the mixup, but their attitude was not accommodating or professional, since I cannot be responsible for someone from the staff not making note of the aforementioned restriction on our ability to go up and down 20 stairs. As I mentioned, the food was great, and our server seemed competent and attentive, but the host’s response to the situation left a bitter taste in my mouth, particularly given that the prices are high-end and one should be able to expect a certain level of decorum and service orientation. I have also worked in the restaurant business, so I can understand that these things can happen, but an appropriate response would have been to apologize first and try to see what might be possible, rather than getting defensive and acting as though I had done something wrong because no note was in the system and then offering the high top in an aggressive tone, without showing us where it was and remaining standing with the other 3 hosts at the entrance. Apologizing a half hour later, once we had ordered our pricey meals, was IMO too little, too late. The next time I come home to visit my family, we will definitely go...
