Bar Nova - Avon, OH — Restaurant in Avon

I was really disappointed this evening with how my friend and I were treated by staff at Bar Nova. We were catching up after having drinks and appetizers and paying our bill when a staff member, not our server, asked us to leave because they needed the table. We hadn't even been sitting for longer than 15 minutes finishing our conversation. No question or professional approach to see if we wanted to order a dessert or more drinks if we were going to stay longer, simply a rude "Ladies we need this table so you're going to have to leave." The kicker is that when we walked out and looked over at the patio, there were open tables!!!

Apparently, if you want to linger catching up with a friend you haven't seen in a long time after you pay your check, you aren't welcome. Or I advise you drink and eat slowly and take a long time to pay your check at the very end of your conversation if you want to enjoy time with your friend.

I think I'll just go somewhere I feel more welcome and appreciated...

We live right around the corner and had been wanting to check this place out for awhile now. Stopped in on a Tuesday evening and got a table immediately. Everyone was friendly and the food came out quickly. The House and Farmer salads were both fabulous and the presentation and size was awesome! We decided to try the flatbreads first and ordered the Wild Mushroom and the Classic Margarita. As a vegetarian, I loved that there were plenty of options on the menu for me and such a variety for my husband who will eat just about anything!! If we weren’t so full we would have gotten the dessert on special. Can’t wait to come back again. It is definitely on our list for a new go...

A disappointment to say the least. An Applebees menu with high prices. The food had to be sent back twice and still was not right for pulled pork and fish tacos. 2 drinks all came to over $100. Once I received the bill, I was blown away and did not want to pay. Was not even offered to be compt for the terribly cooked tacos. Drinks were near $20 a piece to switch to a upscale brand for a Manhattan and was not informed. Was not made well and felt like I was eating in a place that was still being remodeled and small. I don't mind spending my money at any price, but make it worth my time. Go to Applebees if your looking for a low priced meal and...
