TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was booking my wedding for me and my 7 groomsman not counting the ring bearers or fathers. We were gonna pay close to $200 for each tux rental and they offered terrible customer service. By first not letting me and my fiancé pick what we wanted instead they tried to tell us that's not what goes together and told us what to pick. We even tried seeing if we could get to see the actual things we were picking and they told me they couldn't get it in the store until about a month before the wedding and it would be too late to change colors at that point. We booked anyways with no other options. Then we heard about and tried Friar's Tux Shop. That was the TOTAL opposite. They were friendly, personable and totally in shock about mens warehouse not having anything in stock. They didn't have the specific colors we wanted in my size so they ordered it and had it there that weekend for me to try. My groomsmen tried to cancel at mens warehouse but they told him I had to cancel before they could cancel. They call me and get it all sorted out, so I thought. Then the next day my other groomsman tries to go and they tell him no because I need to cancel. So I talk to them again and this manager who's name is Jessica who refuses to cancel for me unless I now go in to cancel. I explain to her that the other assistant manager I spoke to overid the need for me to go in but she says well I can't do that. She had a very snarky attitude over the phone. My groomsman even told me she was rolling her eyes at him and myself over the phone. I went in immediately and canceled. Worst choice...
Read moreI have never had an issue with this store till today Friday January 21, 2022. Was supposed to pickup my new suit and an older jacket I was having tailored. I get a call from the manager Terrell on his pets cell telling me they are without power today and now my suits will not be ready till Thursday January 27. Needless to say I balked at that idea especially since I need them by Wednesday. He tells me that even though I made the purchase over a week ago that they work “day to day” and that the shop is full. Naturally I said “then great it should be done by Monday”. But he said “no, Thursday” and making no sense in his excuse why other groups aren’t very held back. Finally we make agreement that I would get one suit Sunday morning at opening and the other would still be later in the week. A few minutes later I get a message on my machine changing our agreement and saying to call the store “if this doesn’t work”!! I cannot call the store as the power is out and his cell is blocked. I am upset to say the least. I get things happen but to set me back a whole week is ridiculous and to tell me to call you with questions when obviously I cannot is another thing. Oh yeah…. When I bought the suit he was really good and wanted all “10’s” on the survey. Guess what??? I cannot take...
Read moreOrdered rentals for about 6 men in the wedding party, we waited for a while after signing in and some of our guys would get skipped over as other customers entered the store. Half of the employees didn’t seem to enjoy being at work; I get it, no one wants to work in general but people go there to get suits for special occasions. We placed our orders and suits came in 3-4 days before the wedding date and alterations were made on the spot which was great. We had one of the top suit jackets fit loose; it was a standard fit and not a fitted suit jacket in which we had initially requested a fitted suit jacket. One of the employees insisted it was fitted but it was significantly loose and after much frustration, arguing back and forth, they finally ordered a replacement and guess what, the replacement jacket was fitted and not loose like a standard fit. Aside from that, there was one young man (Josh I think was his name) whom was very friendly, patient, and very helpful with all of us - he should get a raise, promotion, and run the store regardless of other employees’ “experience” and seniority. The other employees need to follow his example. If it wasn’t for him, I would have rated this...
