Valley Village Shopping Center — Local services in Bakersfield

It's a good store, kind of small. They've moved the store configuration around, but items are well organized. Framing is still in the same spot near the restrooms. The employees in framing used to be helpful but now seem too busy to even notice you're standing there for a reason. Wear light clothing, they seem to never have the AC on or air circulating so it's unbearable if you are interested in browsing through the store. I visited both Lenscrafters and Michael's with mixed results. Although the staff at Lenscrafters were friendly and helpful, the lab machinery which fabricates the lenses for the glasses was inoperable (which I was not informed of until after my transaction was mostly completed).
