Quality of food: Food was made fresh and it was so delicious! For the appetizer, I got the Korean Cheese Hot Dog. For the toppings it had Ketchup, Mustard, and Sugar and let me tell you, that combination of flavors mixed with the salty flavor of the batter and cheese was such an unexpectedly perfect combination of flavors. For dinner, I ordered the Marinated Chicken Omelette over Fried Rice and that was also very delicious. The chicken was so crispy and the sauce was slightly spicy with tons of flavor. The fried rice was also really good - it had corn, peas, green beans and other veggies. I've never had fried rice like this, but I really enjoyed it.
Dining experience: The dining room of this place is very nice looking and we'll kept. The chairs and tables definitely gave me 70's vibes and it was very wide open and spacious. Considering we're still in a pandemic, it was nice to be able to space yourself out while seating.
Pricing: My wife and I paid about $40 bucks for 2 dinners, 2 drinks and sharing an appetizer. The pricing seemed very fair for the freshness of the food and the sheer amount of food you get for the money. I could barely finish it, there was so much!
Recommendations: Easy recommendation to make is the Marinated Chicken Over Fried Rice. It's a lot of food and a lot of flavor on one plate. The sauces are great, the side salad is great, the chicken is fresh, huge, and has some spice, what's not to love? Go here and bring some...
Read moreBest chicken sandwich I've had. Every other chicken sandwich out there uses a breast filet. Bok Bok uses a fried boneless thigh, and it's genius. It's the perfect size and has juicy dark meat instead of lean white meat. And, it's a great deal at $3.99 The rest of the food we have tried has mostly been very good. I love the pickled radish. I did wish that the salad had more healthy veggies, and it would be nice if there was a non-fried chicken option. They have 4 chicken flavor options, fried, marinated, BBQ, and garlic soy, but as far as I could tell they were all just different glazes on their fried chicken, which were all very good. Their chicken was obviously breaded in house, unlike most other fast food fried chicken, which is usually bought pre-breaded, partially cooked, and frozen. Overall, some of the best fried chicken I've ever had, definitely restaurant quality and a step above fast-food fried chicken, and I will definitely be back. The staff/owner were extremely friendly, and as far as I can tell this is a single-location,...
Read moreI ordered the marinated popcorn chicken and asked for a side of kimchi. The popcorn chicken was okay, a little burned. However, the kimchi was awful. It was translucent and very mushy. I spit it out. I've had kimchi like this before from a grocery store in a jar. Upon request, the waitress took take it back and removed it from the check. The cook, not Korean, came out shortly after to pick a fight with me. "Have you had kimchi before?" "I have." "You don't know what good kimchi is. This is good kimchi" ?!? I love kimchi. I used to make my own and frequently purchase kimchi from Tofu House. The cook came across as belligerent. I wasn't up to the task of arguing with her. She insisted I have try some pickled radish. At this point, it seemed a bit aggressive. I declined, but she insisted and brought some over. I still didn't eat it. I won't go back. It wasn't a $22 lunch IMO. However, the waitress was very accommodating and attentive. That cook made things very...
