As I am now spending time in both BayCity and West Palm Beach, the differences are very stark. The Intentional lack of support and lack of respect for each store in Bay City Mall is a direct reflection of the pathetic attitudes of obviously incompetent corporate inventory allocation staff AND NOT a reflection of the store staff at the mall. In my most recent experience, one item I was shopping for was work/dress shoes, wingtips or oxfords. What is available is synthetic, faux, fake, gasoline, fossil-fuel based vinyl flooring trying to pass as leather by literally using the term “PU Leather” or “man-made Leather” in fine print that is made in China. It completely blew my mind (and forget about the monumental waste of time it was), that after having been in every possible store, that not a single store had men’s work/dress shoes made of actual leather (other than the one pair that was clearly a customer return)!! What was available was synthetic, faux, fake, gasoline, fossil-fuel based vinyl flooring trying to pass as leather by literally using terms such as “PU Leather”. (I can only imagine that this is an obvious attempt to confuse those who do not know that PU is Polyurethane, yes, the petroleum by-product stuff used to clear-coat cars and furniture and to make all sorts of plastic things. That said, everyone today does wear some sort of shoe/sandal that is synthetic... like crocs and copies, which are made of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam. Why I think this is a big deal are the terms used to cause confusion that if the shoe says PU Leather that it is Leather. People would be confused if it was labeled Polyurethane Shoe with Leather Appearance or with a statement saying “Contains 0% Leather”.

I did not randomly decide to go to the mall though, I searched and confirmed on at least 2 Websites of shoe stores at the mall, confirming shoe model and size In-Stock specifically at the stores in the mall. When ai asked the Manager’s of each store where these particular shoes were that were confirmed in-stock at those stores, you would literally see the blood draining out of their faces from the embarrassment of having to tell me some version of “corporate does that” to bring more people to the store, but don’t understand that people just get upset. So, obviously the store managers understand how human behaviors works, and the pathetic excuse for the corporate allocation staff should be fired. This is tantamount to the modern version of “Bait and Switch”.

This review was about the Mall itself, and why this shoe example is important is that the corporate attitudes of these large retail chains that obviously profited when Bay City was previously thriving, are now sending their cheap stuff such as fake leather, and pricing the items as real leather.

The workers at the mall ? Everyone I met was super helpful, had a great attitude. The mall itself was certainly cleaner than any mall in West Palm Beach or Boca Raton, Florida.

Some stores did have a substantially greater number of items that seem to be heavily discounted or clearance from other stores, so there are definitely some bargains to be had. If they marketed it as an Outlet Mall, I would suspect that traffic would dramatically increase.

So, if they had what I needed, I would certainly...

I would rate them higher but I strongly disapprove of some of their recent changes. For example to make up for the laziness of the businesses there they make security waste time collecting carts. Apparently the workers at the stores in the Town Center are too lazy to collect their own carts. I think the businesses at the mall would be much better served if they gave a proper work ethic to their employees instead of promoting laziness and shoving their work on others. Other than that it's very disappointing that they got rid of the food court and that none of the new stores connect to the inside of the mall. Both of which are things I have heard lots of people complaining about. Because of some of these changes I've heard many people say how they refuse to go there anymore and are going around telling anyone else they can that it's not worth their time as well.

Also pets are NOT ALLOWED inside the mall. They are ONLY allowed inside the petsmart. And people should be smart enough to know that. Getting tired of seeing trash bring their pets in the mall and more tired of them yelling at security guards when asked to take their...

This place is not been on a downward spiral for years now they don't even have a food court so disappointing they should shut down the food court and filled the space in with her PetSmart if that tells you what kind of Mall this is it sucks the owner of the Bay City Town Center actually had the nerve to reply about the food court that within walking distance there's Taco Bell on all those restaurants that are up and down Wilder and State Park Drive them in my opinion or not part of what used to be a mall if that place is not going to be a mall then tear it down or turn it into housing or do something useful with it because when I was in fourth or fifth grade that was a forest that I used to play in right there then they built a mall which lasted for 10 or 15 years then nobody came there no more stores left the place sucks and there's always been Taco Bells and restaurants all up and down Wilder and Euclid so there's also a Walmart across the street are they also going to take credit for Home Depot and the Dollar Tree and MetroPCS or the marijuana dispensary that's now on the same complex is them I...

Welcome to Hampton Mall 2019. Back in the day(like 10 years ago) this place used to be the spot. The wide open food court. The stores filled with customers. Some good things just don't last. Maybe if the rent wasn't so damn high they wouldnt have closed down nearly every store. The only reason to ever come here is to watch a movie go, to planet fitness, have an auntie Anne's pretzel or shop at GameStop. This place is a hallowed out corpse of a once great thing.

I enjoyed my time here. This was my first time coming here. Wasn't to big or to small. It was kept clean and the security kept his presence known but wasn't out to be in anyone's way. I actually felt comfortable seeing security. I will come back. I also found a battleship and the info about it and were it is in Michigan. Thought to be interesting
