Shoe Dept. Encore — Local services in Barboursville

Took the family out to spend time with them and possibly shop a little. Walked in and was going to buy my 14 & 7 year old and myself some new shoes. We walked by the counter and I started looking at some socks, that’s when we heard the woman at the counter start huffing & puffing. When I was done looking we turned around and this woman was walking towards us looking like a large bull, with attitude to match. She grabbed the one box out of my wife’s hands and said “So I don’t have to make 50 trips I’ll go ahead and take them”. We had another box of shoes and my wife asked “What about th…” She cuts her off and boldly says “That’s a display!”. So we walked over where my son picked up this “Display of a shoe”, and it wasn’t the display like we tried telling her and was a totally different size. So, before my wife decided to completely tame this bull or worse, we set the other boxes down on the counter for her…so she can make some trips putting them back. Now I’m not sure about this company, but some of the companies I have worked for didn’t just contact me out of nowhere, begging me to work for them. You chose the job, so don’t take it out on the customers. Sad thing is, this wasn’t the first experience with the same rude staff person prior or I would have just chalked it up as someone having a bad day. The large cashier, stood behind me and my family, as we was still shopping, I heard her huff several times.. then all a sudden she interrupted us, said,” give it here, bc I’m not going back there 50 times.!” She grabbed the box out of my hand, took the shoe and tossed box back at me. I then asked her to take both pairs of shoes we WAS going to purchase.. she said” that’s a display…” and walked off… which it was NOT…I told my husband and kids to lay everything down, we are leaving.. and that’s exactly what we did.. last time I was there, I get my son shoes, get home and they are two different sizes. I WILL NOT spend my money in that place again.. it’s not the first time I’ve encountered such disrespect by staff, especially this woman,…you pick the job sweet cheeks, the job doesn’t pick you!!! We ordered shoes online for in store pickup, they charged our account and gave us an email confirmation saying they would have the order ready and would be available for pickup until Friday. I drive over an hour to the shoe store only to be told management canceled our order and I needed to pay for the shoes again even tho my account still shows where I already paid for them. I'm out my time, gas money, and the cost of the shoes and we still have to try and fight with their customer service to get our money refunded. What a waste. UPDATE: we've reciever a call back from the district manager, he wasn't concerned about us being dissatisfied with the situation nor did he offer anything in terms of keeping our business.
